Trip Report The Tuvalu Chronicles ~ Chapter 25 *COMPLETED*

Welcome, welcome, welcome to my 25th trip report.

Over the past five years, I have loved chronicling my WDW adventures with fellow forum readers who share my Disney passion. Writing keeps the magic alive for me. Discussions that result from your comments are icing on the cake! I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my posts. (And for those of you who have been following from the beginning ~ THANK YOU!!)

All my reports have been live, live-ish, or shortly-afterwards.....except one. In 2016 I wrote a retro TR detailing my first visit to the park that forever captivated my heart. You can read about it here. Or you can merely mock the photo below which is proof positive I cannot pull off wearing a hat.

Similar in style to last summer’s novel, this report will incorporate my June, July and August vacations. The ship has already sailed for a live report for June, but I may attempt some live updates in July/August. Or not. :hilarious:

When: June 8-13, 2019
Where: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Did we meet the Wicked Queen? Who got shoved in the Haunted Mansion? Did the rain rain rain come down down down? Was there an attraction evac? Did one of us really cause a ride to shut down?

Woody and I lingered at breakfast before changing into swimwear and claiming our loungers.

We had another glorious pool time ~ perfect weather (where was Dorian?), cool water, reading under an umbrella and just relaxing. (Similar to being on a cruise boat ship, only better.....no motion sickness!)

I returned to Gasparilla’s to pick up lunch.

Woody had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the ham and cheese sandwich. The bread was a bit much, so I took off the tops and ate the insides. Everything was fresh and very good.

As we ate, a squirrel (with clearly no fear of humans) kept pestering us for food. At one point he was thisclose to me on my chair, which I did not realize otherwise this picture would not look like this....

Woody scolded me for throwing some bread away from my chair, but I needed that squirrel to leave us alone! He was freaking me out. We finished lunch quickly and threw our discards in the trash. Problem solved!

We remained at the pool until 3 pm and still had the place practically to ourselves. A continued monitoring of SW:GE revealed where the other guests may have been. 😉

That pool looks amazing!! 😎 What a relaxing and wonderful day you and Woody appeared to spend there! My family and I have a trip planned for this April at the Grand Floridian. We’ve never been before and your trip report is really helping to increase the excitement. Thank you! 😊
