The Trailer for Disney's Animated Wreck-It Ralph
Source: MSN June 6, 2012

Walt Disney Pictures has debuted the trailer for Wreck-It Ralph, featuring the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch. You can check out the trailer below and new images are also available here.

In the November 2 release, Ralph (Reilly) is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (McBrayer), the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he's tired of playing the role of a bad guy. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty. But it’s the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it’s too late?

While the plot is similar to Megamind (Villian becomes Hero) I still see some potential for this film since it shows so many game characters..I do wonder what the video game based on the movie will be like and hope to see a retro version of Fix it Felix to play on the game.

I guess it can be compared to Who Framed Roger Rabbit with videogame characters. I can recognize most of the characters in the villains meeting (Blue Elf looks like a generic WoW or Elder Scrolls Dark Elf) but I can point out every other character.

Also Zangief is not a bad guy, he is protector of Russian skies and children everywhere.

I thought this looked great! I'm not honestly usually into some of what Disney releases these days...it's hard when you grew up on wonderful beautiful 2D animation to see what they (movie studios in general but also including Disney) are releasing but this seemed like a pretty fun idea. So fun to see all the video game characters.

I thought the same thing. Maybe if this film does well, it'll prompt Disney to go forth with the Roger Rabbit sequel that Zemeckis made.

I've been watching a few of the trailers today. This (to me at least) is very original in concept. It's gonna bring out the gamers, kids, 80's kids, and Disney fans alike. I smell a hit. Can't wait.

this looks awesome... period.

At first when I heard the title, I was like "oh, this will be interesting"

Then I watched the trailer a while back and YES... this will be awesome. I love that they went out and spent the CASH to be able to use the titles/characters from the past.
