2. Rose & Crown Pub - If not for my number one, this would be my favorite place in the parks to get a tap pour. It's one of the few places in my life where I've encountered Boddingtons on tap. If you've never had a freshly pulled pint of Boddingtons, you're missing out. In about two months, I will be in the World Showcase. I have very few definite plans, outside of some dinner reservations, but one of those must-dos is going to be getting a pint and the single malt scotch flight here in the pub. They also have special blends of their tap beers, ciders and sodas. Personally, I think the Shandy (Sprite and Harp or Bass) sounds gross, but people seem to like it. It's often busy, sometimes a little raucous, but for a pub atmosphere, you won't find anything else like it anywhere in the parks. (It's also a great place to watch Illuminations, if you can find a spot and deal with the constant smell of fish and chips wafting through the air.)
This is my #1, hands down.
Despite my Italian/German/French/Slavic random roots, I find I have always been more English in my ways. I blame my parents allowing me to see so many British shows when I was younger (Pooh to Paddington Bear and the constant stream of Beeb shows on PBS.) I'm at home in Rose & Crown (along with two pubs in my area.) with Carol on the piano, a Strongbow or Boddingtons in my hand and some pub food infront of me. (I find it incredibly sad that R&C doesn't offer any curry...)
I have found ONE place that has Boddingtons on tap! It's called The Pub and they have around 30 IMPORTED beers on tap. Boddingtons to Tetley's, it's got a ton. Get a pint, fish and chips, and play some trivia and it's heaven. :sohappy:
