The Swan or Dolphin Hotel?

I am planning on booking a WDW vacation in early November and I am planning on staying at either the Swan or Dolphin Hotel. Is one better than the other or does it not matter? Is there a difference in rooms, price, views, location, amenities, pools, or restaurants?

I personally prefer the Swan. It is the smaller of the two hotels, and in my opinion has better rooms. They both share the main feature pool, and restaurants are positioned in both hotels. It is a very short walk between the two, so sharing the restaurants and pool is not a problem.

You can't go wrong with either, the resort has the best bed on property, and the place is perfectly situated for the parks.

I stayed at the Dolphin because it is cheaper than the Swan.

Tough call...the Dolphin is usually cheaper than the Swan, but I like what I've seen more at the Swan. The beds are the deciding point with us ... the Swan has rooms with 2 queen beds whereas Dolphin only offers double beds... making Dolphin a total no go for us unless it's just me and DH.

I would stay at either one. I gave thought about it in the past. But you can't get the magical express to and from the airport and when free dining comes out these two hotels are not eligible.

I haven't stayed at either but I've looked into them. They seem really similar but I might pick dolphin because I like dolphins better than swans....

Dolphin without question.
Dolphin has:
Bigger, grander more exciting lobby.
Lots of shopping
More restaurants
Big gym
Kids club/babysitting
Big arcade
Huge pools w my favorite cabana bar
24 hour snack area
More outdoor activities

Yes they share all these things, short walking distance but why not stay where it's at as opposed to walking every time you need something? Some people swear by the quiet, smaller Swan but I prefer more excitement and amenities at my fingertips.
