Marvel Comics recently initiated a soft reboot of their X-Men titles. It’s been quite a few years since the last time I decided to follow a new book and l decided this was a good time to get back into it. So I scooped this up from my local shop today and it’s very good!!
They threw a copy of Exceptional X-Men in with my purchase and it’s equally wonderful!

So the last couple rounds I wasn’t super available and while that’s not the weirdest thing ever, it wasn’t just because work happens, it was because I’m making the next step in the rest of my life and I wanted to share not just to explain why I just barely made it through the game but also why I was less active…
I was busy renovating a portion of my house to become a new reptile room for my growing collection. I had a friend moving and had to place her reptile collection in someone else’s care and so I stepped in and renovated to care for the animals.
I also spent some time filing the paperwork and I’m officially the operator of an LLC that will be the first steps in opening my own zoological facility. This collection will eventually (hopefully) be among the first to call my own zoo home, but for now they’re part of my new reptile rescue and part of a journey I’m really excited to be on finally!

Oh wow!!! Congrats! That’s amazing
Pete Reneday has unfortunately passed away. Along with being the original voice of master splinter, he was one the voices behind many favorite Disney Park Classics. He was most notably Henry the M.C. and Max the deer from the original country bear jamboree trilogy of shows, as well as Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues under the sea, the mesa verde dad from horizons, and Abraham Lincoln from the hall of presidents. He will be missed.

Epcot removing dolphins, swapping manatees at The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Epcot's dolphins and one manatee will leave the Walt Disney World park as The Seas with Nemo & Friends evolves.

Dolphins are leaving Epcot permanently and Lou the manatee is leaving as well, being swapped for another individual.

Had not seen this before and not expecting this at all. It's like the Rise of the Resistance of rapids rides. Part rapids ride, water slide, elevator and drop tower all in one. Loading station has a lot going on too.

I don't know if this is a hot take or not but I'm kinda glad.Epcot removing dolphins, swapping manatees at The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Epcot's dolphins and one manatee will leave the Walt Disney World park as The Seas with Nemo & Friends evolves.
Dolphins are leaving Epcot permanently and Lou the manatee is leaving as well, being swapped for another individual.
EPCOT has been a good home for them but with our ever increasing knowledge about the complex needs of cetaceans, it's become more and more obvious I feel that The Seas just isn't up to that current standard. It's an outdated facility compared to all the information we have about their needs, and I'm sure their care team has come to realize this. Where they're going seems to be more up to date and offers them much better resources than EPCOT ever could.
As for the manatees, they can make do a little better in the kind of environment The Seas offers. They don't have the same kind of needs cetaceans do, as you specifically I'm sure know. Lou it seems to be a case of a specific animal needing specific things that makes his residence there no longer logical. He already has an injury they've been trying to rehab him for, and I'd imagine they've just discovered that his rehab would go better somewhere else. I'm sure the new arrival will be welcomed and find a happy life there.

I fully agree. I’ve always said the dolphin care is Stellar at the seas because they have the money and knowledge for solid welfare. Unfortunately the tank is outdated and I’ve always wanted them to get outdoor space. I’m sad to see dolphins go because they’ve been there from the start and I’d rather have seen money put into improving their habitat, but this is a better option than keeping them as is
