Possibly cause Downey did lose his entire career and went to rehab for his addictions. If I'm not mistaken he has also been Pardoned from his prior criminal charges. It's an impossible to compare case. On the one hand you have someone who screwed up and just said sorry. On the other hand you have someone who screwed up and Paid the price during the 90s until 04 with criminal charges, rehab and other elements.

Probably because RDJ served his debt to society (and was doing damage to himself) In Gunn's case, he never really got punished. He actually got the break of his life in directing Guardians. Also I am willing to bet most people did not hear about his tweets until now (unless you were an avid Gunn follower) With the outrage culture he didn't stand a chance. I probably wouldn't have fired him but can completely understand why Disney does not want someone making multiple creepy jokes about children attached to them when they are a family brand.

When people get outraged about everything it drowns out things to actually be outraged about. It's like the boy who cried wolf.
Agreed, we should be outraged by what Gunn has said in the past (Don't get me wrong they are disturbing) but we can't let outrage completely destory the logical discussion of Firing someone, suspending, sending to therapy. Outrage culture we have only allows for once option for every instance.

I have a digital camera from like 2005 maybe something like that might work so you don't have to check a phone?
