It's too late -- I read Okayama as Oklahoma.@D Hindley I’m in the process to start hotel hunting (it looks like I can make reservation and pay when I get there on booking). Do you have any chains you would recommend or avoid like APA? Where did you stay. I’m finding Tokyo and koyasan the most expensive if you wanna stay in a good area. But I think I was doing good finding Shibuya station hotel for about $500 for 4 days. The cost is made up by finding hotels in Okayama for like 118 for 2 nights.

Looks at clock ...11:44 PM Hunny Hunt... Oh that's right you're in JapanWritten while in line at Tokyo Disneyland.
There’s no hotel chain I avoid. Recently I’ve been using Ibis, which is a budget priced three star chain. In Tokyo in the past I’ve traveled inexpensively with a combination of well-located hostels, riokans and a capsule hotel near Shibuya. All capsule hotels, BTW, are men only I believe, and hostels can often have single gender rooms or floors.
For my present “planned in 3 days” Tokyo impulse trip, I’m doing Air BnBs which are ranging around $30-$40 a night. The problem there is working around the host’s schedule, and staying off the beaten path (my current place is a 20 minute walk to Tokyo Disneyland through an industrial zone.
Lastly, if you’re considering splurging on Hotel MiraCosta at DisneySea, reservations open up 4 or 6 months in advance (I forget) and sell out very fast. The Portofino side has in-room Fantasmic views, and is recommended.
Gotta go, time for Hunny Hunt!

Im not sure how I feel about an Air BnB esp with my first trip. I think I'm gonna stick to well known areas and hotels for my first trip and move around from that later.Written while in line at Tokyo Disneyland.

That looks like so much fun!View attachment 269039
This will likely be my fondest memory from this trip. The weather today is absolutely wretched, but rather than seek shelter I embraced the storm and rode the canoes solo. The cast members are just fantastic and we had a lot of goofy rain-soaked fun!
I don't have any off the top of my head, I've had the same dell laptop since 2011
Excellent! I know @Pionmycake swears by that place too -- by far my favorite buffet. Our waiter even let us take some coasters as souvenirs last timeLol. Mine is '10 I think and if it didn't always cause so many headaches i'd keep it. Use iPad or phone most of time, but would be nice to have some thing nice I could count on. Losing access to the video I did for sywtbai and a GMR2 promo video I'd spent a ton of time working on was the last straw.
Maybe Ralph is inside of it.
Btw, I know you'll appreciate this, I think doing Biergarten on trip in June.
Do you leave on the 31st?Also with everyone's trip planning it inspired me to make one -- going back May 28th-31st at Coronado Springs! Got it on the final day of a fun in the sun discount. I made one dining so far, but without consulting @MonorailRed which was risky...but apparently I did okay with the Grand Floridian Cafe. I wonder if Toy Story Land will soft open? Naturally, the Wonders of Life is not used the one year I can go down for Flower and Garden.
Either way @Voxel letting you know!
Yesh, leaving at like 10am I thinkDo you leave on the 31st?
Curse your morning.. But I can probably drop down on the 30ths and see ya. Maybe take that Thursday off and work Friday instead..Yesh, leaving at like 10am I think
