Just saw Jumanji today. It was really good! Even though it wasn't an adaptation of a video game, it is very accurate to what video games are like. Also really funny

Naw man, I'm good, I'm good. I bet it just means I love cake...like I can't resist it! I'm good! ;)

Jumanji was surprisingly well written. Jack Black absolutely stole the show, might be my favorite performance of his.

My mind is going crazy with the trip now being within the timeframe of a week. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! This time next week I'll have already cracked out Magic Kingdom rope drop and our Space Mountain Fastpasses. Expect a lot of "this time next week" posts from me over the next few days, haha.

Hope you have a blast! I imagine there will be a series of podcasts on this trip in your future. :) I know I'll be that way when we finally make it to DL for the first time. Just don't forget to pull up the MDE after you've just used a FP while in line and see if you can bump up the times for later FP if they are coming up soon and it jives with your schedule. Can't tell you how many times that's enabled us to use 4-5 FP in a 1.5-2 hr timeframe.
But beyond all, whatever you do, do not stop walking in Fantasyland between iASW and PP. If you don't get hit by at least 1 stroller, then it'll be the scooter that gets you.

You have not experienced Fantasyland until you get run over by at least one scooter or stroller :p

Feel free to throw any trip planning questions my way for Disneyland when the time comes! Having friends up in Southern California has helped me basically become a local at this point, so I know the place like the best of my hand. :) Trust me, there will be a lot of "in between Small World and Peter Pan" type situations that you'll want to avoid. Disneyland is like a teeny, tiny, miniature version of WDW by all intents and purposes, haha.

Well, I have a long ride back from a client today, so I'll just ramble off a trip report here.

This trip was a little last minute weekend trip with the Family. My sister was in Orlando for work last weekend, so we decided to meet up there and hit the parks for a day and a half. We haven't been to the swamps since several new things have opened, including Avatar land, Frozen-strom, and Soarin' 2.0.

Even more exciting, though, we decided to stay at the freakin' Grand Floridian baby! Idk the wealth level of my fellow board members (or the wealth level of their parents lol) but the GF is not cheap, my dudes! Since we only had 2 nights, we decided to splurge.

This trip was also my first time flying into MCO airport. Every other trip, we have driven there. So let's start the account with my opinions on the airport. Our flight got in super late, about 11:45 PM Friday night. We were the last flight of the night. For those who haven't been to this airport, the airport terminals are separated from the rest of the airport by a series of monorailish trams. Very neat! However... late at night, the airport only runs one tram... fortunately for me and my sister, we squeezed our way into the first tram, but several travelers were left behind to wait at the terminal. That had to suck! When you're super tired, even 10 minutes can feel like an hour.

However, what sucked even worse was the Disney Transportation Bus of Doom (see part 2 for the continuation of the misadventures)

Overall MCO is a nice airport and yes GF is expensive AF. I’ve looked at it for a vacation but I don’t wanna sell my left kidney. ;)

(Part 2 - Journey into Exhaustion)
The Disney Magical Express may be a fine transportation system. Maybe there was some bad traffic combined with bad communication combined with bad planning. I'll give them some benefit of the doubt here.

But we had to wait for over an hour to get a ride from the airport to the GF! We weren't headed to the resort until almost right at 1:00 AM. And for anyone who has used the Magical Express, guess which resort is the last stop on the loop...

All that said, you would think Disney would have a superior scheduling system. They collect a ridiculous amount of data on park guests! They know length of stay, number of members in your party, and even your flight information! They should have known that so many guests for the parks were coming in on this late flight. That's why I assume that something wrong happened here. Regardless, it was more miserable wait time when you're already exhausted.

However, when we finally got to the GF, there were even MORE misadventures! Stay tuned for Part 3, my lovelies...
