I've got a few more trip planning questions to go over. First of all, how early should I get to Blizzard Beach? Does it have to be at rope drop or can I afford to sleep in for an hour or two? Definitely planning on getting there before noon but wondering if earlier is needed since I have the Magic Kingdom After Hours event the night before I'm planning to go and will likely be very tired. Plus the Blizzard Beach day in general is meant to be a sort of "refresh" day so waking up early would kind of go against that, haha.
I'm assuming you can crack everything in Blizzard Beach out in a few hours assuming the crowds aren't a nightmare...which I'm not planning on them being given the time of year. I'm planning on staying at the park until a couple hours before closing so I can get in a round or two at Winter Summerland. After the minigolf we'll have about 3-5 hours until our dinner reservations at The Boathouse. We definitely want to catch some of Yee Haw Bob's performance at Riverside this night as we might be in the parks the rest of the nights. How early should we leave for Disney Springs for a 9:45 Boathouse reservation? We might do an Uber for this because I know Disney Springs is really spread out and The Boathouse is a bit of a walk from where resort transportation drops you off. Also besides Trader Sam's and Jock Lindsey's are there any highly themed bars you guys would recommend for that sort of immersive drinking experience?
Most importantly, something I've left out of my research unintentionally that I really need to get a move on...Universal. We'll be doing that on Saturday and Sunday. To cut costs we'll be getting two single park tickets instead of the Parkhopper equivalent. We realize we'll be missing out on Hogwarts Express but we figure the train ride isn't worth the extra hundred dollars or so. In terms of crowd management, Single Rider will definitely be our best friend so I don't really have many questions in that regard. It's not the end of the world if we don't get to rope drop for that reason.
Really my only big priority for Universal is making sure I get on ET as many times as I can for prosperity sake being the last classic Universal ride left stateside. How are the crowds for ET on weekends usually, and how fast does the ride load? 3-5 rides through is my magic number there, definitely a bigger priority than anything else in the Studios park. Islands of Adventure will definitely be the bigger endeavor to get through. As of now were planning Studios on Saturday, Islands on Sunday. Let me know if you would switch that around. One thing I have ZERO bearing on is Universal dining. Now, I'm not expecting World Showcase here, but pointing me towards some unique options would be a big help.
