Unfortunately, I'm holed up in school until 6pm and then have another rehearsal right after until 9pm. I'm not seeing the sun much these days.Haha tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50s time to break out the shorts!

A trip next year is much more likely though, because it recently came to my attention that I can use Marriott points at the Swan/Dolphin. Plus, it was recently renovated, so that's a plus.

I have couple friends that go there who I haven't heard from, so I've been worried about them, but I'm fine. I don't live in Broward, but I live really close, and it's crazy having this all happening so close to me.Well I'm sure didn't tag you as you've been active throughout the day suggesting that you were otherwise fine. He also may not have none you lived in South Florida.
On that note I'm sure @IDInstitute and @Flippin'Flounder as, unless I'm forgetting something, they don't even live in the county in which the shooting happened. It's unlikely they were physically harmed, and I hope they knew no on involved because I can't imagine having to go through anything like that on a much more personal level.
Also @IDInstitute was on around 5 PM according to his timestamp, thingy.

We had a renovated room at Swan last year. No extensive theme obviously but it was nicely done. I always have liked staying there. What irks me most about Swan/Dolphin is they seemed to have jacked up their prices. Not nearly as great a deal as it was compared to the Disney resorts.

THIS!!! I was looked at the prices a few years ago and thought they were reasonable. I started looking to a small solo trip and the prices doubled nearly. I was shocked.

Yeah, we went Jan of last year snd were planning potential trip Jan 18 so had looked at prices. I think the rate was about 140 higher than what we paid the same weekend a year earlier. A shame because it was a great alternative for epcot//HS location.
