Its not that hard actually. You just use a double loading dock similar to Pirates. That way you double the amount of time you have (30 seconds) to load guest into the boats and they launch to a holding area until the path ahead of them is clear to proceed. The capacity is actually very similar to Pirates and Small World
But the thing is, if you had something like that in your attraction, you never mentioned it. Also, anything not in your proposal added afterwards doesn't count towards judging.

My only major disagreement with you RM when it came to critiques was the Nazi flags. It is a reality that Nazi flags and banners decorated Paris, and to not show them would be too much censorship. You can not sensor reality. Should an American ride similar to one like this ignore the civil war and display of the CSA flag simply because some may think the flag being shown is offensive? In short it is not offensive if people see it for what it is; a representation of a historical reality. It is only offensive if people view it as an endorsement of the ideals that such movements and flags represented.

Other then that I agreed with many of the things you said. There was too much French and the title did not make much sense...it should have been 'A Cruise Down the Seine'.

Still, we won so I thank you for that RM.

I would say that it's a terrible comprising to compare the confederate flag to the nazi flag. While many of the CSA fought for slavery many joined the cause for other reasons. This is vastly different from the pure hatred basis of the nazi flag along with the relatively modern history implications of the emblem. That being said I can see the issue with it and I can see the the non issue. It's historical and should be displayed for historical dipiction and education but disney world is not a museum and people don't expect the same truth necessary. If disney would build this today they would result to a flag devoid of the nazi emblem. The emblem of peace has been ruined by one man

I can understand this. The CSA flag was a rather poor comparison, but it was the only flag I could think of that could garner a similar reaction. Coming from the South I honestly do not mind the flag, I mind the people that instead of turning the flag into a positive representation of Southern culture a natural beauty they have turned it into a symbol of racism and slavery. Then again I guess it is all in how you look at the flag.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't the swastika a symbol of luck and peace? Even used in US propaganda during the first world war? Hitler turned it 180', put it in a white circle and red background then turn into what it represents today?

And would a Disney World attraction that featured it just show red banners?

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's a symbol of peace/luck in Hinduism, but don't quote me on that. :)

That is correct that's why I said one man turned a symbol of peace into something of hatred

Fun Fact: The symbol was also used by Native Americans as well!

Created by Mississippi Native American Tribes (Mostly Moundbuilders)...... Started in Pre-Colonized America, I believe (Don't quiz me on that though :p). I know many tribes used it, and the symbols meaning varies on the tribe. A lot were sacred meanings though, if I remember correctly.... :bookworm:

The symbol stopped being used after WWII, for... obvious reasons

Soo, since this seems to be a random conversation thread, I've got two things to note...

1. Yesterday I saw a "Live Fast, Die Poor" sticker on a trash can downtown and was absolutely giddy. For those who don't know, "LFDP" is a Youtuber similar to Adam the Woo who makes a lot of videos shot inside Disneyland detailing its history and hiddden secrets. Really great stuff if you haven't checked him out yet (And Adam the Woo as well, though he's more of a general "urban exploration" kinda guy...) )I know Live Fast Die Poor past through my area recently because he made a video about Sonoma Train Town which is roughly about 15 minutes away from Petaluma. I'm wondering if he put the sticker there or was giving them out around town...or if someone in Petaluma is just a big LFDP fan and happened to have one of his stickers. Either way, I geeked out waaay too much over the potential physical evidence that an internet celeb was in my hometown :p

2. If you haven't checked it out yet, "Galavant" is absolutely amazing. The first couple episodes kind of take some getting used to, but by episode three it really sucks you in. Great humor, amazingly funny characters, aweome cameos, and songs from Alan Menken. Seriously, what's not to love?? Also, Weird Al and Eddie Izzard did cameos in last night's episodes (they air two a night for four weeks as a miniseries) both of them were wonderful. Weird Al plays a monk who has taken a vow to sing everything he says. Really, really funny stuff and also incredibly charming and warm-hearted at the same time.
