One Little Spark...
Since there was talk on the podcast about "being old"...here is a trip from 1990.

Note...water skiing characters and how many boats were on the SSL at the time. It used to be a really big thing to do.

The "meet and greets" were random character interactions, more like Disneyland still does.

I remember that parade. Note who is singing (it's Roger Rabbit).

Buttpacks and neon shirts! (yeah, this is 1990)

This is what a Guidebook was like in 1990. 30 pages!

That stage show is "Mickeys Musical Show", which was in Mickey's Starland, which originated as Mickey's Birthdayland, and later became "Toontown", and now is Storybook Circus. They had Mickey and Minnies house here as recently as 2010. But, they were first constructed for Mickey's 50th birthday. Every guest got a slice of Mickey's Birthday Cake for free. Mmmm...cake. But, like I said, it later became Starland. Also, they still had DUCKBURG back then, iirc!

Check out the Blue Fairy at 23 mins in or so in the MSEP. That's one of the floats that never made it back to WDW when the parade moved away and later returned. But, you should recognize a lot of the floats, and now you can see why so many Disney buffs (who didn't grow up with Spectro) are thrilled that MSEP is back...cause, that's what we grew up with.

Also, a note...due to the success of Mannheim Steamroller (really took the country by storm) and their Christmas Album, electronic music was all the rage in the mid to late 80s.

You'll note, at 28 in, the "Small World" float is another one that never came back, and I don't miss it one bit.

Notice the trees around the Hub. Sparking with lights. And...were you watched the fireworks from back then...

Note...they didn't stay at a Disney Resort. The only ones that existed in 1990 were:

Contemporary
Poly
Shades of Green (which, at the time, was called something else, Disney's Golf Resort)
CBR (Disney's first "value"...which later became a moderate)
Ft. Wilderness.
Swan and Dolphin had just opened as well.

Uni opened that year. I remember that trip. You are seeing it when it was brand new at about 30 mins in. It's changed...a LOT.

That Bates Motel exit they are coming out of at about 33 mins in is the old Hitchcock exhibit. They showed unreleased 3D versions of the Birds in there...and it was cool.

Also, note the way they handled Streetmosphere back then. It's completely different now.

EPCOT starts at 45 mins in.

My god, I remember LOVING that Futeristic Car! I remember everything from the post ride they show (that was pre-Test Track)

That was the old Pleasure Island and Disney Markeplace at about 47 mins in. At night, it was amazing. Every night was a street party.

Old MGM starts at 50 in. That's right, you used to not be able to walk into New York street unless you took the Backlot Tour. :p

If you are wondering what starts up about 42 in...that's Busch Gardens Tampa.

SKYWAY ALERT at 1 hour 8 mins in!

If you are wondering what the gardens are at the end, that Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. In Miami.

Tonight's the Survivor premier!!:D:D Who's gonna be watching?! After all, it's what TSI is based off of, plus this upcoming season has already gotten a lot of hype about it being a good one, and Jeff Probst has already gone on the record of saying it's his favorite cast ever, as well as this being a good season for new people to join in on the show, or people who used to watch it but got out of it.
Super pumped!:p:D

I think he got picked up briefly by one of the networks...MTV maybe? He was supposed to have a show, but I think it either ran through pilot or got scrubbed.
It was MTV last I heard, but I think you might be right about it being dropped or scrubbed..

God how does Nick Pitera sing this better then the Original:
