The simplest things.....

Even obscure sounds at WDW bring such good memories to me when I get there. The sound of the tram driving by. The air conditioning inside the monorail. The sound of the speedway cars motoring by.

My all time favorite simple pleasure has to be the first day, first minute after checking into the POFQ (our only home away from home). Once we have gone to our room and unpacked, my daughter and I just take a nice slow, quiet walk around the grounds, up and down the little cobblestone streets, totally soaking up the vibe. The whole time we just keep saying to each other "I can't believe that we're finally here and we have our ENTIRE trip ahead of us... it's literally JUST beginning!"

I know it sounds silly, but I love riding Disney buses! I feel so happy when I finally board, listening to Disney music in the background, discussing the day's plan with DH and DS, knowing that soon I'll be entering a park for amazing adventures! Ok, told you it was silly! I become a kid again at Disney!

Also this is really silly, but I love observing all the birds that live in the parks. The ducks and ibises and stuff that are everywhere, doing their own things. I don't know why, I just love seeing ducks hanging out randomly in the parks. I also like that in zoos.

My daughter and I LOVE doing this also. We'll just sit and watch them and say to each other "If you were a duck here, where would you live?" And then we'll be like "Oooohhh, I would live right behind that tree right over there, next to the water, but behind those rocks" or whatever.
