I have a feeling this is going to open much sooner than most anticipate. If the outside is nearly done, the inside sets are probably nearly done, they are testing the ride vehicle now. its usually two months of that if no glitches or issues i could see soft opening in Jan and actual opening in Feb/March. Just in time for Winter/Easter/Spring break time.

The outside hardly seems "nearly done" from what I can see. The Little Mermaid's facade and rockwork along with other theming such as paint, landscaping and other more intricate little details took a very long time. And i'm quite certain from what we've seen from the outside of the Dwarf Coaster that there's still a ton of details still to be added. What little we've seen of the inside of the coaster also clearly has a very long way to go, the loading area posted recently on the Disney blog doesn't even look like they've begun theming it yet. And as we've clearly seen, even the simpler projects such as the Princess Fairytale Hall takes Disney a very long time.

A January soft opening seems pretty absurd considering how much they have left to go. February is also probably stretching it. Maybe March or April at the absolute earliest unless the project speeds up considerably. And even that probably has not realistic chance of happening. Summer season is much more likely.

Here is a picture from a few weeks ago that still shows a lot of exposed steel. They still have a long way to go.

Does anyone have any updated photos of the outside progress?
I believe the last update on here was a few weeks ago.
Over at DaMouse they were supposed to do monthly updates but the last one they had was from beginning of August.

So does anyone know how fast this attraction will go? The track seems to be very short after both lift hills. Also there seems to be only one indoor show scene along with the outside show scene of Snow Whites cottage before entering the unload area. It just seems like it will be a very quick short ride. If the ride itself doesn't move very fast then the ride will be longer in duration . So I hope it is a slower rollercoaster and we will get more thrills from the tilting or rocking then from the speed.

Also does anyone know if music will be played during the whole ride or just in the indoor show scene?

You have hit the nail right on the head. In looking at the pictures on DaMouse.com, they have very little theming done on the side with the first "drop". I completely agree that they have a VERY long way to go. I'm sticking with my prediction of a May opening. Or June. They haven't constructed the "house" and the rockwork will take a good long while. Of course, I'd love to be wrong this time (there is a first for everything).

Looking at the last photo's at Damouse.com it seems that they are making more large pieces closed with that yellow plastic and wire mesh.
If this is a signal that they start closing larger parts at a higher new pace then having it closed could be done before the end of this year making a opening around April.
They still have a lot of design stuff to do after closing the mountain and those painters ain't working that fast.
They seem to take age's to paint those rocks. They look nice though:D
As long that they have it open at the beginning of May, i will be happy:happy:.
