The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Thanks for the video. Nicely done.

I still have very mixed emotions about this only because it is so close to what I see as the perfect blend. I just wish the dialogue, even just at the end, would have been more about "Look, Dad, at everything I found. There's so much here to explore. What are these creatures?" and Mr. Ray talking about various things and what not. Just would have lended itself from the cartoony "Where's Nemo" to the "We've found Nemo, but look at everything else we found! Come explore with us!" quite well, IMHO.

Thanks for posting! I can't wait to ride it in December. 12 days to go:sohappy: :xmas:

Your very welcome. I am glad it came out as well as it did being so dark. I did it with my digital camera also, so I am very surprised.
The full screen version I have is even better. Hopefully everyone will be able to see that on steve's site if he posts it for me.

I looked at it this way, at least they brought back the actual ride to the pavilion. I have missed it very much.
Even though they did make it very kid oriented now, it is what disney is all about and I think they did a great job on it. I would have wanted to see more of the real part of the aquarium, like the parts looking straight up.

I guess the learnign parts of Epcot are slowly going away to make way of getting people back into Epcot. Its sad but a true fact, people want to be entertained, luckily Dinset can still add the learning part into alot of the rides without anyone realizing it, hahaha.

EXACTLY, they can entertain and inform without rubbing your face into the latter.

It already been discussed, people generally don't go on vacation to be educated, they want to be entertained.

This is why Epcot has shifted gears, so-to-speak, in their approach to attractions. If they are educated at the same time all the better.

Well, I rode it last Friday. The ride was cute, I enjoyed the themeing and the queue line. BUT, we were stopped for 2-3 mintues in the East Australian Current section of the ride and it was extremely nauseating watching that so close up. I had to close my eyes and wait it out.

Also, I always enjoyed the actual aquarium and just watching all of the sea life. Maybe it was my imagination but it seems like there were a lot less sea creatures in there. The aquarium seems like an afterthought now. I don't know, maybe it is just me.

I just watched the whole ride, and I have 2 questions.

1. Is the first minute, or so of the ride, on the new tracks they laid (the old pre show theater ).

and

2. I keep on hearing about this attraction has only one AA,..... where is it, because I didn't see any AA's in the ride video. :veryconfu

Thanks in advance

Its a very dark part of the ride, at around the 1 minute 30 second time frame.

1. Yes, the first half of the ride is on new tracks. It joins the old track sometime before the EAC current scene. The EAC section actually follows through what used to be part of the straightaway through the tanks in the old seacab ride.

2. The attraction does have one animatronic. It is an Anglerfish mounted to a Kuba robocoaster arm and has the ability to appear to fly through the space it is presented in going up and down and spinning around. It is really cool. Unfortunately, at least when I rode it, the robocoaster arm was sort of visible with the blacklighting needed for the scene. It is quite an amazing piece of machinery, but I wish it wasn't visible at all. If you follow the fish though, you probably wouldn't notice it too much. It can first be seen in the video linked to by the OP at 1:37.
