Last trip (Jan. 2018) my family went on The Seas and noticed that the anglerfish wasn't moving and marlin couldn't be seen. I was wondering if anyone has been on it recently and if it was working again.

Is it true that the angler fish is moved by a Kuka robotic arm? I don't believe that Kuka arms are categorically unreliable. And they aren't really making it do anything too challenging, I believe. So I wonder why they are having so many problems with it.

Yep.

The supplied arm is vanilla Kuka. The WDI modifications are not.

I rode the Seas on Sunday and I can confirm the effect is still not 100% working. It appears they have put it in a purposely positioned stationary pose (try saying that 5 times fast!) as Marlin is facing towards the guests with the Angler-fish right behind him with his mouth opening and closing. There was also a couple of other effects in both the ride and queue not working including the audio being out of sync in the EAC tunnel and the ripple effect on the boat in the queue not working among other show issues. It seems to me the ride could use a little down time for a proper refurbishment or sprucing up.

OK I have to admit this isn't one of my favorite attractions. Anyone have a picture so I know what you are talking about?

Also, I just looked at a layout of this attraction and realized that when you are on the ride buggies you actually are going under the viewing area. Am I seeing that right?
