The Seas and Strollers

It's the same reason why they argue with bus drivers that tell them that the stroller must be folded up to be brought on board. "Well, my child is sleeping and I'm not going to wake him/her up, so just get out of my way." Having been the father of two babies in my lifetime I understand that it's probably the only peace they got all day. Children are a gift from heaven when they are sleeping. Any other time, well, it just depends. Mostly no!:joyfull:

I can easily understand that sometimes the signs are not seen. There are plenty of them but that is not what people are always focusing on. Or, as someone said, they may think that those are there if your going on a ride and they are only going in for lunch. However, to argue with a CM after they have explained why to them, is just plain unacceptable.

I can see why it is a necessity at The Land. If something happened and that whole building had to be evacuated quickly, wow, what a mess that would be. Just the number of people in the queue for Soarin is mind boggling. Now picture that with people tripping over strollers. It doesn't take a really high IQ to understand why it is important. And if there wasn't an emergency and that many people got in the Soarin Queue with a stroller what would happen to the strollers while they were on the ride. There is no place for them.

I transferred from attractions in part because of the dealing with strollers and their associated parents (and for several other reasons). I once let in a family that had a terminally ill child in a stroller, visiting as part of the Make a Wish foundation. The next family that came up wanted to get into this building as well, and I had refer them to stroller parking. They demanded to know why I just let in the previous family (sidenote: why it's sometimes very hard to do nice things for deserving guests, even when you want to), and after initially trying to dodge the question, I finally relented and explained the concept of the Make a Wish foundation. The mom asked me if their child was dying, if I would let them in too. I had no response to this.

People can be terrible.

That left me speechless, it really is sad how heartless some folks are.

Do it the Danish way. Leave the stroller AND the kid parked outside. Those babies can sit outside year round... in balmy Denmark.

Maybe that's why they're the happiest people in the world.

THANK you. I don't think people really understand how insane it would be.
