HUGE DISAPOINTMENT. My wife has always wanted to try San Angel. I was the one that always would put it off, not being a big Mexican food fan. BUT we did this past summer. Tried, but never going back. The food in our opinion was bland...not a hec lot selections. The server was SLOW. We must have waited 20 minutes for him to even come over and if it wasnt for insistence of DW I would have got up and left. But we waited and like I started to say, just got worst. Service bad, food yuk (IMHO)...realize atmosphere was night time under stars, but yikes.coulnt even read menu. Too bad because it could be so fun. Anyway..Gone there but never going back.
What was your biggest DISAPOINTING restaurant?

I don't know if I have ever had a total disappointment in my Disney dining experiences [the story of me eating my fish and chips in the rain on the ground by the UK pavilion like a homeless person not withstanding] but I think the closest experience was my first time dining at Sanaa. I liked the ambiance, but was a bit put off that everything seemed to be an extra charge. Oh, you want bread? $6. Think a side dish would be nice? $8. The entree was good, not great, and I left saying, 'not sure if this is all it's cracked up to be'. I did go back again, paid for the bread this time, and enjoyed my meal, but still have that nagging feeling that it could have been 'more'.

We did not like Brown Derby. We went there 24 years ago on our Honeymoon... Went back this year kind of 25 years later.... And did not like it at all. Reminded me of a Family Buffet the way people where running around! For such a high price seems like the atmosphere would not be so cafeteria like....Will not be back... :(

My recent 'Ohana visit. I am willing to give it another go though. The food was great. We had terrible service (from hostess, to servers) all the way around.
We loved Ohana dinner... Went back twice in same visit... But breakfast service was terrible! But Nick (ds) got to see stitch... And that's all he cared about! He's 10 now so we won't be back for breakfast.. :(

Great that takes the shine off our ADR at the Brown Derby for the first time this Sept!!!! Although we won't have anything to compare it to like you did!

The 'Ohana character breakfast. Food was okay, service was slow, our table was in a loud, dark corner near the kitchen and restrooms (no view of anything, no ambience, we were so far from the restaurant proper that we were practically sitting in the lobby and felt like we'd been naughty and were being punished). I couldn't get so much as a coffee refill to save my life. Character interaction was so rushed it was ridiculous -- Stitch just patted the kids' heads and moved on to the next table before I could even raise my camera from my lap to snap a picture! We left it to our last day, thinking it would be a nice conclusion to our vacation, but it was the biggest (and thankfully, only) disappointment.

We have done Hollywood and Vine twice. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. Food was passable both times. We hit a snag with the character interactions at breakfast during our one trip. The character we were there to see kept skipping our section. But our waitress brought her by when we told her what had happened. So, I give them points for recovery.

While not great, I thought H&V was much better than its bad reputation.

We ate at San Angel some time ago and were not impressed...then again, we get so much great Tex Mex and true Mexican food locally that it was probably a mistake for us to try it in the first place.

I still can't say never again with any place (yet), but San Angel is one of the places where we're in no hurry to return; however, I also wasn't overly excited about it in the first place...so not a huge let down.

We tried Coral Reef a while back as well- super excited about it- and were very disappointed. I'd still give it another try- at some point- but considering we now have 2 Aquarium restaurants locally- it's not quite as unique for us.

The first time my DH and I went to Akershus on our honeymoon we swore we would never go back...our server must have been on a bender the night before..we are pretty sure he was still have in the bag..food was great and atmosphere was okay but Morton was awful..we made the best of it and just acted like we were out there..got his autograph in our book so we would never forget.. We've been back since and enjoyed ourselves but it made us question the restaurant
