I just got back from the TX Ren. Festival - and let me tell you - it was a BLAST! If this thing comes to a town near you - go check it out!!! Take a camera!!! I forgot mine - or else there would be MULLETS GALORE! - Iwas executed upon entering the park - the 'streetmosphere' entertainers were great! - people munchin on turkey and lamb legs were fun to watch - and disgusting at the same time - and EVERYONE is perverted - we watched some show about romeo and juliette - and the theme of the thing was to be as nasty as possible - def. not for kids, and i would say teenagers too!!! (that show would have been good for you jonnie) - anyway - it was fun!

have a disney week!

There's the Bristol Rennisance here on the IL/WI border. We went. It was pretty fun. Some outrageous stuff but enough jewelery to make me happy! lol

I've been to the NY Rennisance Festival here in Sterling Forrest.
We have a permanent village built in the gardens. The people who staff this are very good, but very different. It is definately a way of life for them. Funny to see them in full costume wandering around WalMart.
If you ever get the chance (and they have it) try to be in one of the living chess games, its great.

I've been to it when it was in Atlanta. My best friend teaches 8th grade History and she asked me to chaperone. What I got to pay attention to (when the kids weren't trying to talk me into letting them go off on their own) was pretty good.
I think taking the 2yr olds that I teach would have been easier.
