The popularity of Toy Story Mania, anyone explain it?

As stated I think it really is due to the lack of rides. Honestly for the price you pay to get into this park there is barley anything to do really. You can be done with this park in a few hours. I think it's a very fun competive ride and Toy Story is still so popular but I think if it was not Toy Story and maybe something like, ugh, Home on The Range, the line would still be long because it would be the only real fun thing to do for families.

I think the label of Toy Story was a major reason for it's success. No one really knew what it was about until after it was opened, but, it has been full on since day one. There were other things to do when it was first opened and if people hadn't liked it for itself it never would have caught on. Think Narnia or Capt. Jack.

bc its amazing lol one of my faves! every time is a new experience, it's interactive, there's a payoff (if you win but the competition is fun in itself), and the games themselves are so cute and simple and the special effects are really fun. it's just exciting imo =)

I think that is the biggest reason people like it is the competition. My kids love going at me trying to get the high score in our care. Makes the ride more fun for sure.

It's one of the only rides in the park that's fun for kids as well as adults. Pretty much everything else at HS is geared older or much younger. And it has terrific replay value (not that you'll be able to ride it twice in a row).

#1 It is the ONLY family ride at DHS. There are no other rides at the park kids can really go on (at least ones they would enjoy).

Yes
Like most people said, its due to the lack of attractions in the park and the popularity of Toy Story. I visited Disneyland last year and the wait was extremely short. I was able to walk on the line twice in a row and ride it in a short amount of time.

I'll be honest, I've never been on the ride. I've never been interested in it. My wife and stepson have both been on it, but even they don't want to wait in the lines for it. Honestly my wife would just as soon skip the park completely, but my stepson and I both like other things in the park like Star Tours and Rockin' Rollercoaster to skip it completely.
