The Parks At Christmas...

MK would get my overall vote...the castle and the smells of the holiday. Second would be Epcot; I love the storytellers in each country. Previously, I would have voted for DHS, but the Osborne Lights don't have the same awe that they once held. I liked them better along the backlot and put up on the 'Golden Girls' house, etc... I also liked the huge Christmas tree that used to be in front of the theater before the BAH.

There was a time when EPCOT surpassed the other parks in Christmas beauty and activity. Nothing matched the grandeur of the decorations and the overall holiday atmosphere. Those days are long gone, so Magic Kingdom has my vote.

I went last year during Christmas week (and while the crowds can be crazy, a little clever planning and flexibility, especially in the Magic Kindgom, makes things very manageable; the Extra Magic Hours help too ;) ), and for looks, it's very tough, as all the parks look beautiful, but I have to give the slight edge to Magic Kingdom.

DHS, however, had the better Christmas music though.

MK - Walking down Main Street USA at night with snow falling around you and seeing the castle all lit up with lights. Topped off with Christmas Music. Love it each time Ive experienced it.
HS - Osbourn Lights are simply stunning
E- The country that does it best would probably be Germany but this is a hard one to decide.
AK - The Christmas vibe is pretty week here...
DTD - Shopping Shopping Shopping

Without a doubt, the Magic Kingdom. Aside from the pure beauty of the castle, the place even smells like Christmas!
I love Main Street at Christmas..the shop windows, the music, the garland draped over the street..But, on another thread, I was told this will be the last year we will see the old town style garland strung across Main St. The new parade will be too tall and will not allow for this decoration. So, I ask, will this change the feel of Christmas at the Magic Kingdom? For me, it will take a little of the feel away...

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
We go every year at Christmas, it is magical.

MK is my favorite during Christmas, walking down Main St., the Castle lights, extra shows/events and so much more.
DHS Osborne lights are fun, we visit them a couple times every year since they move from Little Rock when my daughter was much younger and smaller.
EP used to be much better but many of the countries have storytellers describing their version of Santa Claus and the Candelight Processional is a must see if you haven't done it. We used to go every year on Christmas Eve when Edward James Olmos would narrate the Christmas Story, it was truly inspiring and was chilling his last year doing it the 24th-26th.
AK is not much different during the Christmas holidays, nothing particularly special from my perspective.

The Deluxe resorts decorate heavily, the GF has a full size gingerbread house with sales of various gingerbread and chocolate items with resorts such as the Boardwalk Inn having a rather large gingerbread carrousel and other wonder decorations.

The parks are VERY busy, always long lines but knowing what you are getting into is the main battle.

Castle, hands down. Osborne did not impress me at all. I have seen the same, or better, at farms that charge for admission in NY, PA, or NJ
