The Park Announcers Thread

So, seeing as we don’t have this topic yet, guess I should start.

I’ve noticed that MK has recordings of 2 different “regular” announcers.

In lieu of names, I’ll just classify. You got the “Old Guard” announcer - he still does the Kiss Goodnight, MVMCP and IllumiNations reminders, and they just brought back his announcements for the holiday fireworks shows (maybe Pandora agreed to scale back sponsorship to solely HEA).

Then you got the “New Guy” - he pretty much handles everything else - rope drop (there was an audio-only version of the welcome show last week due to ABC Christmas tapings), Trolley Show, marching band pre-parades, MRFF, Rainy Day Cavalcade, Wishes announcements (with Pandora sponsorship), and the reminders for the holiday stage shows.

Everyone else is kinda one-off - there’s one that just does Frozen Holiday Wish, one does MiSiDaPi (one of the DJs), one does Flag Retreat, etc.

I only bring this up because unlike Disneyland, which certainly puts all their eggs in one basket (read: Bill Rodgers), we don’t even know who to stick with. (If anyone can name drop these guys, much thanks.)

I don't see a problem with the announcer thing. I do see a problem with the opening.

Bring back the Welcome Show!!!

I don't know if this is what you intended but I wait in anticipation for this announcement.

Joe Hursh - he was there for a while, up until the Celebrate Today campaign, and even a little after that.

Unfortunately, they phased him out for Tom Kane on buses and monorails. (However, Jack Wagner still reminds us to “please stand clear of the doors; Por favor manténganse alejado de las puertas.”)
