Trip Report The One Where Elsa Followed Us To WDW

If I don't start this now... I never will!

When: December 3-11, 2024
Why: Our annual trip with our little family. We usually go late January/early February, but wanted a Christmas trip!
Where: Art of Animation Lion King family suite
Who: Me (Annie), my husband Ian, and my 2-year-old Nora (she turns 3 on NYE!)

I took SO SO many photos, I hope you are all ready LOL

Without further ado..

Our trip week kicked off with a rough start. On Sunday, we took Nora to see Moana 2. She did so well and LOVED it.

We got home and I proceeded to have the most violent food poisoning of my life for the next 30ish hours. SO AWFUL. I kept crying thinking it wouldn't be over in time for our trip. Somehow, I was okay on Tuesday morning when we got up to get ready to go to the airport but it was touch and go for a while there!!

Our flight was at noon out of Boston, so my dad picked us up around 8 to head from Maine to Boston.

We traveled in matching sweatshirts

We got into the city and through security pretty easily.

We checked two bags that weighed in at EXACTLY 50 pounds each. I guess this is the last trip we can get away with no suitcase for Nora!

Speaking of Nora, she was a huge fan of the escalators and moving walkways in the airport.

Once we found our gate and ensured it existed, we went to the play area to let her blow off some steam.

After running around like a chicken with her head cut off, it was time for some donuts from Dunkin.

We had more than enough time as things had been running very smoothly. We headed back to let Nora do some more playing before boarding.

We do not board early because I do not need MORE time with a toddler in a confined space lol

Ian got the carseat loaded up and soon we were taking off.

We do not do screens at home apart from family movies together, so the seatback TV kept Nora entertained the entire flight. I personally wished she would've napped, but she was an angel, and I was grateful lol

3 hours later we made it to MCO around 4 PM!

Nora was excited about the "monorail"

So serious, Nora.

Nora calls all holiday decor "CHRISTMAS" so I heard lots of shouts of "CHRISTMAS" during our journey.

Up next, we headed over to Nemo and walked right on. No photos because I half fell asleep LOL

But.. we really enjoyed looking at the real aquatic life together after.

Our next LL was for Spaceship Earth!

Nora didn't quite make it into the future and was a little disappointed that mommy's picture was there but not hers.

I fear Ian may have fallen asleep riding behind us lol

We were supposed to end with our final LL, but of course Frozen was down and our LL changed to a multi experience. This was a MUST DO for Nora, so we decided to head out for our break and come back later in hopes it would be back up again.

Some popcorn and frozen lemonade on the way to the Skyliner. These hit the SPOT for some reason at this time.

Of course, afternoon nap cannot commence until Nora has swim time first.

She requested the Little Mermaid pool on this day.

She had so so much fun. She really could just swim ALL DAY.

After a couple hours of rest, we headed back to Epcot (only after Nora insisted on Elsa braids first)

It was a beautiful night!

Luckily, Frozen was back up and running when we returned and we made it through the LL line pretty quickly. A bunch of preteen girls in line were smitten with Nora and her Elsa dress

After Frozen, it was time for our Via Napoli reservation for dinner!

We were seated pretty quickly, but only after another little girl with the same dress as Nora ran up to her and gifted her a couple plastic 3D printed figurines. So sweet.

Nora ordered milk and was given a coffee cup. She kept telling me she was drinking her coffee.

I asked her for a photo with mom.

But she let me take a pic of the figurines so there's that?!

I ordered a pizza and it was so yummy and hit the spot.

Ian got a steak that he was truly SO HAPPY with, he said it was delicious.

And Nora got a kids pizza that hit the spot as well.

Nora and I shared chocolate gelato for dessert.

Me sharing earned a photo opp!

Ian went with a cannoli.

After we settled the bill, it was time for our GoTG ILL! Ian was to go first.

Nora and I headed to the playground at Mission Space because I had never taken her there before!

She LOVED it. I think coming here might become a must do for her.

After Ian returned from his ride through the galaxy, it was my turn. He headed to the Skyliner with Nora.

While I was waiting Ian's photo popped up. He got September!

Man, I really just love this ride so much.

I got Everybody Wants to Rule the World.

Before I headed to the Skyliner myself, I wanted to grab a few pictures.

Seriously, so beautiful. And nice not being rushed lol

I also found a Photopass and got a picture of myself with Spaceship Earth.

I slowly made my way back to the Skyliner to head out.

It was a quick ride back to AoA and I fell asleep even faster.

Now.. this photopass picture. Tell me why I needed this headshot style pic where you can barely tell I'm even at Epcot!? smh
