When the Disney-MGM Studios opened up on may 1 1989 , the Hollywood Bowl theater was located where Sunset Blvd begins. I can think of only two shows that where performed during it's rein : "Hollywood, Hollywood "-where Mickey and the gang along with other Disney characters talked, sanged ,and danced about the movies. While the other show was "________ Tracy-The Double Diamond Caper"- a musical crime story with a comic flair.

Where their other shows besides them,I also recall the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Pochahontas performing on the Backlot Stage.

Not sure about other shows in the Bowl, but I know they did a brief show based on the Goosebumps books and TV show on the New York backlot.

Wasn't the Hollywood Bowl the first home of Beauty and the Beast? Long about the summer of 1992? Tinkrbel, your memory is correct - that was "Here Come the Muppets."

Not that long ago.......I remember the Ace Venture live thing they did in the Streets of New York. Wasn't really a big show deal, it was kind of like the Blues Brothers thing they do at Universal.

The Goosebumps show was BAD...I remember back then...I was still a big R.L. Stine fan...and I heard about the show...and the vacation planning video had a really kewl preview...then I saw it and was like "huh...?" and then I thought "well...at least the maze will be kewl!" But the maze was too easy and short! What a disappointment....

The muppets live show rocked. In some aspects it was better than the muppet 3d movie, but the movie is more . . "muppetesque"

I seem to remember, at one point, there being a live muppets show where the little mermaid show is now...I have a partial vacation video of this show...I don't remember it being very good tho...that's probably why it got changed...Anyone else remember this?
