I cheered when Chris won, as well. I prefer it when someone who has been manipulating, cajoling, and playing the whole ways wins it. It's been a long, bitter road for me since Rob C. lost Survivor: Amazon. Chris is definitely up there with Rich, Tina, and Brian as winners who either controlled the game or had a way of turning things to their advantage.
I love that Chris was playing right up until the Final Tribal Council. "I'm not going to take any crap from the jury" he tells Twila. Hah! He knew all along that he was going to give in to their every request, and he wanted to make sure Twila was ready to fight back. And it worked. Twila's answers cost her several votes (although she almost made up for it in her final words).
When all was said and done, even though Twila admits to being miserable to people and is "sorry" for it, she was still a pain. Personally, I can't stand people who justify their nastiness with that whole "But that's just the way I am. That's honest." Well, that's a load of crap. If you know you're nasty, take steps to fix it. Chris lied and played people, but he treated them with respect and was pleasant to them. Is that so hard?
