The Official Survivor Thread

*sigh* Agent Brady is gone early in the game, much like my sweet Hunter was in Marqueses (I think it was Marqueses) :( At least my darling Colby made it to the final two

Is it just me, or are these tribes so not fair anymore.

Lopevi is such a strong tribe in comparison to Yasur now, especially since they are now down to one male. Lopevi may lose one more member before the merge, but Yasur is going to be the one that is delt a killer blow from this change.

I missed my first Survivor since Season 1. Can someone recap for me?
Scott, here is a link to a site I go to to catch up on shows I miss. They do fairly entertaining recaps but they get the point across:
http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show.cgi?show=47

I think Yasur kind of shot themselves in the foot a bit, because now Lopevi is MUCH more physically stronger. Notice the kind of challenge these were tonite. Seemingly a bit more physical than before. But, then again, time will tell. I still dont get the 'how' of the tribe shake up. How come, with 6 men, 4 wound up on one team and only two on the other? Shouldn't it have been split 3-3? :veryconfu

It could have been a 3-3 split in men, but Sarge made the choice to pick the teams, not divide. This was a good move on his part, because I think there was more to be gained by picking than dividing. With Scout dividing up the remaining men into one team of two and one of three (no other choice), Sarge picked the team with the three men. Even if they go to Tribal Council, it is likely John will stick with the "older" men rather than defect to the women and force a 3-3 tie. So, I think Sarge chose well.

I still don't think Sarge or Scout are the real "leaders" of their tribes - original or new. I believe Chris and Ami are the ones really pulling the strings.

SpongeScott - I highly recommend the link Wckd Queen gave you. I've been a posting member of that site (under the same screen name) for years. They have show-by-show detailed (and snarky) recaps of many many shows. They have Survivor back to season one.

Anyone still watching this show? It's been a bit predictable lately, but I'm hoping Chris is able to drive a wedge in the women's alliance and make it interesting. He may be able to do it; he's certainly the craftiest of the men this season. He's fighting an uphill battle, though. Ami still seems to be in charge of, well, everything.

I'm still watching, and I am absolutely livid at the way things have been happening the last couple of weeks. The men should have played the ______ card and dropped Julie after her and Twila went to Lapevi. And frickin Ami and driving me insane (I hate it when a contestant starts brainwashing people... Rob and Amber did the same thing last season and I hated it then too. It's almost like the contestant aren't brave enough to think for themselves.)

I too am getting frustrated with the way this season is turning out. Was it just me or was this a very early merge? So far all of the people I have rooted for have been voted out. First Agent Brady, then Sarge, and now Chad. Im not a fan of Chris's but Ami is REALLY the women are just plain annoying me, so now Im rooting for Chris.

At least I have my sweet Colby's Gillette commercials to watch

I'm going to be mad if they take Chris out just because they don't want a man. Hopefully he'll be some Colby and win the next Immunity Challenges and take it all the way to the final two. As for the girls, they are all just plain annoying right now.

I still think season 1 was the best out of them all. Why can't we go back to the original 3 where we remembered everyone's name at the beginning and actually liked about 14/16 survivor's from the start.

I'm still watching this season, but it's not doing very much for me anymore.

As Chad just said on the reunion show, Chris played the game well. I think that just for changing the tide of the game, he deserved it. Alot of times, the vote doesn't go to the person who outplayed, outwitted and outlasted. It's cast based on how much they like you *cough*JennaM*cough*

I have to admit to cheering and jumping up when Jeff proclaimed Chris the winner! And to think he had told his fiance "I'm gone tonite, babe" :sohappy:

Chris actually played. Finally, a swarmy player wins in a surprising way. Chris REALLY reminds me of Richard Hatch, and THAT is how the game should be played.

I cheered when Chris won, as well. I prefer it when someone who has been manipulating, cajoling, and playing the whole ways wins it. It's been a long, bitter road for me since Rob C. lost Survivor: Amazon. Chris is definitely up there with Rich, Tina, and Brian as winners who either controlled the game or had a way of turning things to their advantage.

I love that Chris was playing right up until the Final Tribal Council. "I'm not going to take any crap from the jury" he tells Twila. Hah! He knew all along that he was going to give in to their every request, and he wanted to make sure Twila was ready to fight back. And it worked. Twila's answers cost her several votes (although she almost made up for it in her final words).

When all was said and done, even though Twila admits to being miserable to people and is "sorry" for it, she was still a pain. Personally, I can't stand people who justify their nastiness with that whole "But that's just the way I am. That's honest." Well, that's a load of crap. If you know you're nasty, take steps to fix it. Chris lied and played people, but he treated them with respect and was pleasant to them. Is that so hard?
