ANOTHER Balance Beam!

I think I found my pick! Even though I know he won't win, I'm liking Sarge! But not in the same way I like Brady  (although, no one will ever replace my Colby! :D )

What did y'all think? Shift in power over at Yasur?

I have a large problem that I am not in to this edition of the game! And I don't like that that I don't watch it like normal. I just feel it was too flashy, especially with that whole tribal beginning last week.

I had Survivor on in the room, but I was not paying full attention.

Each and every season of Survivor was great television, this, however, has not yet sucked me in, and that's quite peculiar.

Is anyone else in my situation?

I agree. It's just not catching on with me yet this time. I'll keep watching, but I hope that it gets better. Think we've maxed ourselves out on it?

I dont think WE'VE maxed ourselves out, I think Survivor is trying to outdo itself, but there is no need to. It's not like a drama on TV that needs better storylines. Just give us the same backstabbing, lying, cheating, physical activities, mental strategies, and hard bodies that we have come to love!!

No need for stunt casting, i.e tribal barbarians, volcanoes, and rituals. Ugh.

Maybe we were spoiled with Survivor All Stars in that we knew everyone already, and it was a great season. That's what got me hooked on it. I hadn't watched any survivor after the first one until the All Star season.

I think the older women will make it, as they have the number advantage now.
My brother's ex college roommate's mom is on the show, which is sort of interesting. She's the one who climbed the banana tree on last night's show and has the fake b---s.

I'll keep watching, and I think it will get more interesting as players get eliminated and we become more familiar with everyone.

I'm enjoying this season as much as previous seasons. The show still has the crack Mark Burnett editing team and plenty of good, old fashioned lying and scheming. Once I heard Dolly's "I'm the deciding vote" speech during Tribal Council, I knew she was history.

It was clear to me that Scout messed up the immunity challenge big time, yet there was no discussion of giving her the boot. She must be well-liked enough that people don't want to plot against her, but not so well-liked that people view her as a threat. It's a fine line to walk in Survivor.

When I saw the balance beam challenge, the only suspenseful moment I had as a viewer was what the reward was going to be. It was a given the women would win, as they have in every other balance-based challenge on the show. Certainly, their lower center of gravity plays into this.

I think the whole game will change now that Lopevi has won a challenge. Also, next week's double Tribal Council will be an interesting twist.

WOAH!

Mia got voted out in a surprising coup. Looks like one of the girls is getting ready to jump to the other alliance. Also, smart for John in giving the Immunity to a nuetral player.

I have to say that Survivor may have finally started picking up this season. I think it's going to start getting good.

I have to agree with you. I think that it is finally going to start getting interresting.

I have to wonder if the producers cast Survivors with gaps in ages like this to see how the aliance lines would be drawn. It seems like both tribes have an older/younger split to them.

Sorry to see JP go though :( He was a cutie. Not my Colby, but hey, any port in a storm

Mark Burnett definitely casts in order to create the most drama. The age split started back in Survivor: Africa when Samburu had four over 40 and four under 30. They hated each other from Day 1.

When John gave the immunity necklace to Amii, he should have just given it to her and left. When he started prattling on about how they're going to learn something from the vote, I don't think he made any friends. But still, kudos to him for drawing the who voted for Dolly, who didn't line. I can't believe they complied. They did an awful lot of talking in front of him, and he gained a great deal of intelligence information about them. Will he use it?

The men seem to be making the mistake of playing the middle game too soon. In the beginning, you remove the weak links to the team. Right before you get to the merge, you get rid of the physically strong players who have the chance to go on long immunity runs. They've dispatched the two physically strongest players right off the bat. I guess we'll see if it works for them or not.

It seems like age doesn't always prove much of anything on the show either does it? Richard won the first one and he's deffinitely not young (and wasn't in the greatest of shape). Rudy won third and he was 74 at the time (if I remember right) and still beat out everyone. It's nice to see that they don't put an age cap on it as we've seen some of the best players that are older (Rupert, (I love that guy!), Richard, Rudy, Susan....all of them made it to at least the final four...and there's still more that are older that made it as far too) do just as well. I got the pleasure of spending an evening with Rudy right after the first season (and also "chicken" George with the blue hair from Big Brother) and thought it was the greatest thing. They were both really amusing and great to talk to. I'm looking forward to the rest of this season as it's getting better!

Between getting rid of Mia and winning that reward challenge, the women have really turned it around! They were calm, confident, and worked extremely well as a team in the immunity challenge. I love how the group dynamics change from week-to-week on this show.

I'm still loving this season, but I don't get it. The men are strategising to get rid of the strongest for when they become individual and not a tribe anymore. My question is, why not wait until it's time for the individual tasks to get rid of the strong people. The men have voted only their strong off so far and it's hurting them as they keep losing. They should've waited to vote for them if they are such a threat. It's going to be intersting, if they keep it up, it's going to be all women at the end.
