so people always talk about what if world showcase had a greece pavilion, well yeah, it'd be the perfect addition to the tourist trap.
but no one has ever come up with a good ride idea to make the pavilion stand out.
so i made this here ride idea based off the ancient greek epic poem, the odyssey
The Odyssey
Ride Type: Boat Ride
Exterior:
Exterior is themed to a crumbling ancient greek temple. Out front of the temple is Olympus Gardens.
Queue:
The queue begins out front in Olympus Gardens. The graden is filled with greenery, and statues of all the 12 greek gods. The queue eventually enters the temple, with each winding corridor, it becomes darker and darker and darker, with only torches to light the way. Water is leaking from the ceiling. Carved into the walls are tales of Odysseus and his men fighting through various events, the Sirens, Polyphemus, the Trojan war, etc.

Scene 2: Trojan War
Scene 3: Odysseus meets Poseidon
Scene 4: Piratical attack at Ismaros
Scene 5: Polyphemus's Cave

Scene 7: Circe's advising Odysseus
Scene 8: Scylla and Charybdis
Scene 9: Odysseus's Legend
End: Unload
Scene 1: Athena's Convo with Zeus
The ride begins into incline hill, filled with fog and mist. The fog screen technology is used here depicting images of Odysseus and his men. In the background you hear Athena and Zeus talking about Odysseus's fate and that Poseidon is not at Mount Olympus.
Scene 2: Trojan War
The next scene is at night during the Trojan War when the Trojan Horse was brought in. The room features AAs sword dueling, and buildings on fire. In the background near the end of the scene you hear Odysseus saying how it was the worst experience of his life ever and how he can't wait to return home to Penelope.

Scene 5: Polyphemus's Cave
The boat then enters Polyphemus's Cave. Sheep are scattered about. Odysseus is conversing with Polyphemus saying that his name is "Nobody". Behind Polyphemus, Odysseus's men are slowly carving a wooden spear to blind the cyclops.

Scene 8: Scylla and Charybdis
The riders then enter a dark, wet, cave. Riders see a goat standing off to the side. Riders briefly see one of Scylla's heads come down and snatch the goat. Riders then come into view of Scylla's six heads roaring. Then before Scylla gets any closer, Charybdis opens its mouth and the riders plunge into a 35 ft. drop
Scene 9: Odysseus's Legend
After that, there is nothing but darkness, symbolizing that you were eaten by Charybdis. Then you eventually see torches on the walls, noting that you are back in the temple where the ride begun. And on the wall in fiber-optics (similar to the Tokyo ToT preshow) is how Odysseus finished his journey.
End: Unload
Riders then disembark and exit through a darkened corridor with torches lighting the way.
