The obsessed planning had begun!

I am kind of an obsessed planner when it comes to Disney. But somehow I have changed my reservations three times. I finally decided to break down and take advantage of 20% discount on an AoA suite for our family of 5. However, my sister is still undecided on how she is traveling, what ticket she wants, etc... So my dilemma is... She plans to stay with us and may not want the same ticket or arrive the same day. Is is possible for her to still use the DME? I was told on the phone that we all needed to have the same ticket in order to be in the room. This is a little disappointing because we were relying on using the DME but my sister does not want as many days on her ticket. How should we try and work this out? I have not added her to my room yet because of this. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I would call back. My sisters and I are all flying in from different airports on different days and all are taking DME. It didn't matter what ticket we had as long as we were all on the reservation.

We have done this a few times (flown in/out on different days) and all used DME. The only time we had any issues was when we used the dining plan, since everyone in the room has to have the dining plan for every night in the room - we had pay for DDP for my dad even on the days that he was not in the room, but the rest of us were able to use up his credits.

The ticket has nothing what so ever to do with DME. The person needs to be on your resort reservation but does not need to have any ticket at all. It is a resort guest benefit and is connected to the resort stay. Enjoy your trip! Marie

I re-read your initial post and the ticket on the reservation must all be the same at the point of booking the package, that part is correct. It has nothing to do with the DME though. As far as the ticket, book the least amount and you can upgrade any ticket individually once you check in. So say your sister only wants 3 days, you want 6. Purchase three day tickets for everyone in the room. When you get to the resort, upgrade your ticket to the 6 day and you pay the difference at that point. Same for anyone else in the same room. You cannot remove days for a refund though. I hope this helps!! Marie
