Did anybody else think that this new monorail is incredibly ugly? I also dont like the whole automated aspect of it. I always like sitting up front and chatting with the driver of the WDW monorails. This just reminds me of a really big airport shuttle tram. Just doesnt seem the same.

ive looked at the pics from laughing place and apart from the design of the station i see no difference.

it also came to me that Mickey and the others must be multi lingual (is that spelt right) they can speak English, french Japanese and soon Chinease(do they speak that in hong Kong)
and every1 says they have an easy job

And there was my next thought if mickey and minnie are in Tokyo who is in Mickeys house posing as Mickey?????? and who is dancin about at all the parades. Its strange as wen ever i visit WDW he is always there and was even the wen i visited DLP i must be lucky!!!

Hmm, maybe it's like the Santas at every shopping mall during Christmastime?!?

"Monorail Peach"... that has an odd ring to it!

In case you didn't know, the Monorail Society has had some good close up images of the new TokyoDL monorails for quite some time. http://www.monorails.org/tMspages/TDLprvw.html

These are FAR superior to the monorails at WDW in terms of capacity and automation (as mentioned in the article above) as well as safety. The interior of the train is like one long walkway, rather than individual cars. There is a door on the nose that allows for train-to-train evactuation, as well as other rescue procedures. To evacuate the WDW monorails a special wide ladder has to be extended to the door of the monorail car and the door has to be manually opened from the outside. It takes quite some time to evacuate each car, and since Reedy Creek only has one of these special ladder trucks, the entire train can take over an hour to evacuate. At Tokyo Disneyland, everyone will be able to walk to the same exit and evacuate quickly. People with lessened mobility skills will also have a clear advantage, since evacuating won't require moving up through difficult roof hatches.

Ok they r different

More like the Paris Metro system (a few seats for the lucky ones and the rest will stand)

The ones at wdw were alot smaller and there are alot more seats
i see the difference now
