Trip Report The Never-Ending Summer Of Disney *COMPLETED*

Seriously?!!

Can you believe it??

This is jaw-dropping news!!

If only.

Two things in life give me the blues ~ the end of summer and the end of a Disney vacation. A never-ending summer of Disney would be a dream come true! But I am certainly happy to “settle” for a WDW vacay in June....in July....and in August. 😊And rather than write three separate trip reports (and annoy @amjt660 when my *COMPLETED* report really isn’t 😉) I decided to take @Rista1313 ’s suggestion and post an ongoing travelogue, à la @blgauger style.

So let’s get started!

Vacation #1
June 16-24, 2018
Tuvalu, Woody and Em get pampered at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Was there rain? Any snarky Cast Members? Ridiculous guest behavior? A Magic meet-up? How many times did we watch Happily Ever After?

You’ll have to follow along to find out.

Em and I spent about an hour longer at the pool after Woody left. It was hard to pull ourselves away from the refreshing water but we had a schedule to keep.

The sky was still beautiful bright blue.

We stumbled upon a tour (DVC?) of the cabins.

This pic relaxes me. Might need to make it a screen saver.

We picked up a snack on our way to the room.

Club CMs wrap up the leftover breakfast muffins and place them in a basket outside the lounge.

Two sights greeted us when we opened the door.

Em’s purchases from yesterday (club guests receive direct-to-room package delivery)

And Woody hard at work. (He’d given up on his public space.)

So Far way awesome Time. I never noticed the Echo Cavern Cavern Cavern before on the mine train. I had seen video of the exit, The CM that stands and CM points out, he usually only points when people walk toward the opposite way out the open doors, but you get @SherlyStatus. I would like to stay at the WL, but first we have to do the Poly, then the AKL, before WL. just our bucket list in order. I feel for Woody, I have to talk my work into sending my to a Two Week Sprinkler training they have in Orlando, and I would have to do the same, but it would be Home Work and making sprinkler drawings the next day of Class. Proud of his concentration in a great place. You guys have so much fun, And I'll keep living vicariously.

Since we were in the vicinity we wanted to ride the PeopleMover.

So did everyone else.

Typically the line moves faster than the line would indicate, but not today. The attraction kept stopping and starting and we waited almost a half hour.

There were funny moments during that time though. For example, this family in matching shirts (there were about 6 other adults with them, not pictured) who were confused as to where they were.

Disneyland Florida :cautious:

The ride did not break down for us. Still waiting on a PeopleMover evac!

@fractal the day’s Shirley Status was clearly over! :jawdrop:

You know the MK is busy when you have to fight for a seat in Carousel of Progress!

I took a stealth pic. I was not bold like @riverside who took pictures of every scene.

CoP ended up being the last attraction of our vacation. We exited into insane crowds, high humidity and threatening clouds in the distance and agreed we were done.

Em asked if we could make a stop on our way out as a Starbucks gift card was burning a hole in her pocket.

She got this cute travel mug.

You know I had the same thought when I saw her!!

Yes there were two chairs on the balcony. However all of the top floor rooms have enclosed balconies, so if you are sitting down all you see is the wall in front of you. Balconies on the lower levels have open railings and provide a better view when sitting.

I’ve got July and August....thinking we might need someone for September since you’ve got October covered.

We’ll be gone by your arrival. I know you’ll have a fab time at the Poly. :inlove:
I can do the chair check in September if you want! 😜

You’re back already?
Well if you wander into Muppets after 2pm the rest of the week say hi to my dd- Alysa from University of Arkansas (or Springfield MO depending on what tag she grabbed). She’s 6’2” tall and thin so stands out in a crowd😂. Hope the rain stays away for you guys!

How long are you going to be there? I might be in MK this Saturday, thinking about taking the family since my son's birthday is coming up and we are AP's now.
We’ll be back in Atlanta on Saturday.

All caught up with trip 1! Always a pleasure to read your trips by the way! Ready for trip 2 and so november keeps coming a little closer 😉
Always a pleasure to have you follow. :cat:

Have a great time! It’s been 5 years since we visited DL and DCA.

If we get a chance tomorrow we’ll look for her!

But there is a nice bench open with a nice view! :D:cool:
