Good Morning,Just read today's Disney gazette on the subject of logos on the monorails.The latest is Avengers with it painted black and a lightning bolt down it.Curious as ever,what do you think of these logos? Are you for or against.?:wave:I know it's all about publicity but would you prefer to keep it with Disney park theme.

I don't like it. I looks over the top commerical. I would prefer to keep the Disney Park theme to.

But the Disney Park theme IS based on commercial characters that were put into the park to cross promote other properties.

Disney has ALWAYS been about synergy. Disneyland was just one big ad for Walt's TV shows and movies.

Aye & Naw.

On reflection it's a yes & no from me. Yes from the point of bringing these films/characters to people visiting the parks,kids see them and want to see the movie,good publicity. And No from the point where I think " I would like to see a Snow White monorail with the seven dwarfs on it ". I bet you the kids would want to ride that one,maybe not,it's just my thoughts.:wave:

It's funny how some people will say they didn't like the previous monorail narration because it was too "commercial" and "promotional" - yet they're OK with wrapping the monorail with billboards for "non-Disney" productions.

I can understand why others don't like it, but I think they look awesome. Both of the movies they used to wrap the monorails I loved! Tron Legacy didn't do as well, but personally I really enjoyed it, and thought the monorail was sweet. I am hoping the avengerail is still there when we go in October. I am not holding my breath though. I loved the movie and just think it is pretty neat. Can't wait to go see it again!!

I don't really care either way, but I did like the Tron version much better than the new Avengers one. The Tron version made the monorail almost look like a light cycle speeding along where the Avengers one just looks like a giant billboard to me.

As long as they aren't doing it to all the monorails I'm fine with it.

Touché. That is very true. Although I would totally be into it if they did something like, Hatter, was saying about having a snow white 'o rail or something. Maybe even a space mountain 'o rail would be cool too. I think for me it's just because I loved those movies so much that seeing them blown up on the monorail (which I love as well) just was an awesome explosion for my eyes.

We were there last week. My son loved it that we got to ride on it. I think it's fine. It's not like every single monorail is wrapped or it's wrapped all the time. The traditionalists still have several other non-wrapped monorails to ride and take pictures of.

to be honest i DO not like when they dress up the monorail when i was a kid the fondest of my memories that I remember are on the monorail and on Et (US) and dumbo and Pirates ( i was only 3) and they didnt dress the monorail then well at least when i was there i dont know im old fashioned i dont like the dress ups
