The MGM arch?

ok im just a little curious on the progress of the mgm arch way that leads to the animation courtyard. Has there been any real progress since the last report in which the green panals being takin down. Its been a pretty long time. any info would be great. thanks

The refurbishment of the arch is complete. The painting is done, the Disney-MGM sign has returned, and it looks great!

Yea I noticed the change on my last trip. It looks much brighter to me. It was one of the first things i noticed.

The arch looks relitively the same. The tiles were removed. Going up about 2/3 the way are fake tiles (made of concrete) then a gold bar and above it is a flat front, I cant believe no one has taken a picture of it yet. WOW!! The Disney/MGM Studios sign did return and the arch looks wonderful, but they did not put the two Holiday wreaths on it this year.

There actually are animators working there at the present. I have no idea what the scope of their work is, or if is all for show, but they were there at the end of October.

most of the times .. those animators are working on sketches to sell in the stores.. or paining models.. to sell. i don't think any of it is actual production work.

I thought that as well but I did not recognize anything they were working on. So if anyone knows what capacity these guys are there for I would love to know.
