I genuinely hope this is a false alarm, but I've heard from a friend in entertainment that the Mayor of Main Street has passed away. My friend got the news somewhat second-hand so he's trying to confirm.

Has anyone else out there heard anything?

Oh, how sad! I met him a few trips ago. What a kind soul. He asked me where I was from and I told him which state. Then he said “No, where exactly?” So I told which city, knowing he would never have heard it. His face lit up and he said “I know it! I know it really well. My favorite restaurant is there!” To my puzzled and excited reaction he replied “McDonald’s!!!!” Hahahaha.....I am sure it was a line he used often, but I would be lying if I didn’t say it made my day and added to a great trip! So sad! I hope his family has peace knowing the legacy he leaves behind....

His name was Chris Weaver and many of my entertainment friends were close to him. So sad but he touched so many hearts.

This is indeed sad news. I kept trying to get up there at the right time for my kid to meet him, but we never made it. There's always tomorrow... So sad when we learn again and again that we need to do things when we can. He was perfect in the role and always made the trip a little bit better. God bless him and his family.
