Just asking the question, but if it’s been 25+ years and no one has gotten it right (not even George himself), is it just possible that maybe just maybe as the saying goes “you can’t go home again”. That nothing anyone will ever put out will ever be good enough?

I ask because there was praise for Mando when it came out and how Favreau and Filoni “got it”. Now it’s “the clowns don’t get it”. So is this more about the fans egos and them not being stroked in the “feels” rather than an issue with those making it?
What you’re seeing with this looming disaster of a movie is it’s obviously just a blatant cash grab playing off of a segment of franchise that peaked a couple of years ago.

This is the best that they could showcase as their introduction to the movie. Keep that in mind, again this is the best that they could come up with and it is terrible.

George may not have gotten everything right, but he had a deep love and genuinely cared about the stories he created. Disney Star Wars has been and continues to be about milking every last dollar and piece of fan Goodwill until it’s dried up and withered.

Instead of generating excitement, it’s being mocked.

I really don't see all that much different between this and what was shown at Celebration (and leaked online) back in April. It has the same look and vibe to me. Personally I'll reserve judgement until I see it next summer, but you do you.

I liked the show alright when it debuted as something to watch with the kids that wasn't horrible, but this film looks awful. At least based on the trailer. Hope I'm wrong. Elio didn't appeal to me either, but I watched it the other day and it was pretty good. I know I'm a jaded old crumudgeon and party to all the ill effects such an affect brings, but it seems like a commercial, at least 2 years too late, to cash in on a momentary chance to sell plush. No one had a great idea for a story; executives just wanted to cram more paid content down our collective throats and up that it pushes money out of our .

Mando reminds me of shows like Lost, Once Upon a Time, etc that feel like they were meant to run a few seasons but due to massive success were extended beyond the original concept, as a result of phenomenal writing the first couple seasons they end up with rushed/bad writing in the extended seasons simply to cash in on their popularity.

Season 1 of Mando was amazing, season 2 was good to great, season 3 was awful, I think they already missed their window to cash in on the big screen.

The early hive mind mind of the internet seems to be having the same reaction.

No one cares.

The logo and poster have me puzzled with their low effort 1930/40s vibe. The result is just... amatuerish and not good. Also that quote on the bottom of the poster is downright horrendous.

I wonder how close they were to putting "See it in Technicolor!" on it.
Is this the Indiana Jones reboot they've been talking about? All this movie poster needs is a fedora on Mando's helmet.

Gosh, I hope this didn't cost near the The Acolyte's budget.

The first thing the toy groups say "does the demand for the Haslab Razor Crest go up, or does Hasbro release a 'new' one and claim it's not a reissue of an exclusive Haslab design?"

Also, "AMANAMAN!!!"
