"The Magic Kingdom" movie?

I'm disappointed by the Night at the Museum approach. This could have easily been a Disney crossover general using the lands of the parks as parts of an actual Magic Kingdom connecting different Disney stories together.

I remember in the Disneyland sing-along video Mickey welcomes everybody and says "Good morning everybody! Welcome to the Magic Kingdom of Disneyland!" Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I agree, that would be so much better. The current idea just sounds like a bad cross between Night at the Museum and Kingdom Keepers.

And to be honest, I'm not a huge Jon Faverau fan. I liked the Iron man movies but I didn't think they were awesome by any means.

Jon Favreau (who not only directed Iron Man, but also one of the best family films of the last ten years, Zathura) has said on numerous occasions that despite the similar basic premise (someplace where things come to life at night) the film will be nothing like Night at the Museum. The tone will be darker, less focused on slapstick humor, more focused on adventure and old fashioned "Disney" fun.

I think this movie will do really well if they market it properly. Market it like taking a mini-vacation to Disneyland, except all you have to do is drive to the cinema.

Agreed. I don't think they're going to carbon copy Night at the Museum to try to pick up a few quick bucks. If they were going to do that, they'd have released it already. The last Museum movie came out a while ago, right?
