After a year-long engagement, our wedding took place on August 11, 2012. It was truly the best day of our lives. We had 260-some guests, and we partied our buns off! The only thing wrong was that it went entirely too fast. You have something you look forward to and spend SO much time planning, and it is over in the blink of an eye. Thankfully we hired some very talented photographers and videographers to help us remember that day for the rest of our lives. The honeymoon trip report really starts the following day.

Day 1: August 12, 2012 -The day after our wedding.
We woke up and had a lovely, nutritious breakfast of COOKIES! If you live in the Pittsburgh area or have ever been to a wedding in the vicinity, you know the greatness that is the Cookie Table. (If not, google it-seriously! It is actually a well-documented tradition in this area!) We had friends and family baking weeks before the wedding and ended up with literally THOUSANDS of cookies, complete with little boxes for people to take cookies home in. This was actually our first taste of our wedding cookies because we were so busy at our reception, we forgot to eat any! We got all of our stuff together, and I decided to play with the luggage cart.
IMG_1235.jpg

We went back to the reception hall to help get the rest of the food from our reception to take to my parents house. Chris had to hold his Groom’s cake in his lap the entire journey. We are huge Doctor Who fans, and our gingerbread Tardis was NOT being left behind!(The guy sticking his tongue out in the other car is my nutty brother.)
IMG_4010.jpg

We finally joined our families at my parents’ house and opened presents and pigged out again. We also spent quite some time untying dollar bills from the bridal dance (another local tradition).
IMG_4011.jpg

One special present we got from one of Chris’s coworkers was a Happy Meal toy that is the Yeti from Monsters Inc (Welcome to the Himalayas!!! SNOWCONE???). It is an inside joke between Chris and his coworkers that they systematically hide the Yeti in random places around their office, and the person who finds him has to hide him again, and so forth. Chris was delighted to find him inside a present, and we decided that he would be accompanying us on our trip. He became an interesting conversation piece and made for some pretty fun photos.
Our flight to Orlando was the following morning, August 13 at 7:30 AM. We decided it would be easier to just stay in a hotel the night before, so we made reservations to stay at the Hyatt at Pittsburgh International Airport to make it easier on ourselves. We stopped for gas and the Yeti had his first Photo op.
IMG_0037.jpg

We got stuck in some traffic, but made it there around 10PM. We left our car in extended parking, near the hotel. We are here!
IMG_4015.jpg

It was a nice experience, the hotel was really nice inside. We had more fun with the Yeti, and found our room.

IMG_0048.jpg

We had a snack, (cookies of course), and Chris had a drink with an umbrella in it. (We brought the umbrellas with us-we are dorks.) We went to bed but I honestly didn’t sleep, I was too excited and still too worked up from all the wedding excitement.
Next up: we roll out of bed and onto a Mickey-bound plane!

Loving the update! Sounds like you all had a fabulous time on your cruise. And after your cruise you got to go back to WDW?! So jealous! That sounds like a great idea to sandwich a cruise with stays at WDW. I think I may have to do that on a future cruise. :D It is so hard to pick a favorite between the Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk. Both are such great resorts! You all really lived it up on your Disneymoon!

Well, I am at work and I am leaving for Disney TONIGHT! I will be boarding a Mickey-bound plane in exactly 8 hours from now! So while I cover the class of a teacher who isn't here, I might as well continue this TR while I reign over an 8th grade study hall. YAY!
After Wishes, the boat headed back to the Contemporary and we immediately boarded a boat back to WL and headed to bed.
The next morning we woke up early for our 8:15 ADR's at Cinderella's Royal Table. We headed to the dock to board the boat.

I had never eaten here before, so I was pretty excited about the whole thing. Once we reached the Magic Kingdom, we were able to enter the park through the turnstyles all the way to the left, and we headed towards the castle in an almost-empty park.

I was pretty stoked to see that there was a photopass person there to take pictures!

Once we entered the castle, we were escorted into a room where Cinderella was. Cinderella remarked that Chris got to have his picture with TWO princesses! We headed upstairs and were seated. We immediately got our Wishing Stars, and I got a wand and Chris got a sword. LOL!

We both ordered the Cream-Cheese stuffed French Toast. It was delish! Shortly after, a man came around to hand everyone their photos.
293198_10151155206244191_290327965_n.jpg

Then the princesses came around. Snow White was first, and I thought she was the best....she had the character nailed- voice and everything. Chris had brought the Yeti with us to breakfast, and he was sitting on the table next to Chris's plate. Snow White asked if that was one of our woodland friends and whether he did dishes and laundry or not.

Next was Sleeping Beauty
580113_10151155206619191_808116309_n.jpg

Next was Ariel-she was fantastic too! She said "Hey, don't look now but there is a Yeti about to eat your breakfast!"
562731_10151155206769191_1643482347_n.jpg

Belle came to our table next and was totally awesome. She asked about the Yeti, and after she had heard our story of his adventures in Chris's office, she decided she wanted a picture with him so Chris could text it to his colleagues. I think she thought the whole idea was pretty funny.
527958_10151155206989191_154337549_n.jpg

Chris decided Belle was his new BFF.

We finished our breakfast, and I took some pictures of the restaurant.

Well, it has been a few months since I did an update. I know, I am a bad, bad person! We went on our December trip and had a blast, I will eventually get around to writing a TR for that.
The video for our last few days is in one link:

When I left off, we were just finishing breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table. We spent a little while just strolling around MK. We found a photopass person!

I didn't take any pictures but we did end up going on Pirates, HM (our staples...we always ride those two when we are in the MK), Winnie the Pooh, Small World, the Tiki Room, and maybe others...I can't really remember, it was so hot that day. I DO remember that we stopped to have a Dole Whip. That is something you can't forget!!!!

We walked down main street and did some shopping. I always love the piano player!

We decided to go back to our room and have a nap. Later on, we spent some time in the pool. It felt great! We had ADR's that night at California Grill, so we got cleaned up and headed over for that. We checked in at the desk and we were taken up the SPECIAL elevator! When we arrived, Wishes was just started, so we were able to stand along the back wall and watch. I love how the restaurant's lights turn down during the fireworks and they play the music. We were seated shortly after.

Here's a view of what the Cali used to look like. Who knows what it will look like when it opens back up later this year!

I had the filet...it was AMAZING. One of the best meals I've ever had.

This was seriously the best dessert we think we've ever had:
564432_10151157021944191_1579611940_n.jpg

I don't even know what it was, I can't find it on any of the old menus. It was chocolate cake with raspberry ice cream and the swooshy thing is chocolate.
303642_10151157022159191_378897970_n.jpg

Then we got to watch the Electrical Water Pageant from our seats!

Love your trip report especially the butt bump dance! And call me crazy but was your wedding jewlery based on the Lord of the Rings?

YES IT WAS!!! I love celtic jewelry to begin with, and my mom bought me the circlet to wear on my head on our wedding day. I saw a ring with the Holy Trinity knot on it somewhere and I loved it, so we got a jeweler to reproduce it! That is SO COOL that you recognize that!

Yay! I love The Lord of the Rings! <3 It's all so beautiful! It was the earrings that really tipped me off!
Haha, yeah, DH actually bought me the earrings as a pre-wedding gift. I have the evenstar necklace to match, too but decided to go with something simpler for the wedding.

Love the cake!! We are also huge DW fans and my 30th b-day cake was very similar to this one!! Also love the wedding pics. Your headpiece is fantastic! Haven't gotten past the first page yet, but I'm sure the rest of the report is going to be awesome :)

Awesome! There are more DW references later on. The cake was actually made of gingerbread! Thanks so much, glad to have you along!

August 22, 2012- Our last full day :(
The next morning we woke pretty early and boarded a bus to go to DHS. We had ONE thing on our mind...TOY STORY MANIA! I had actually NEVER been on this ride...I know, OH THE SHAME. We booked it directly to the ride and grabbed fastpasses. We figured that since we were there we'd try hopping on the ride...the sign said the wait was 65 minutes. OUCH. But it looked oddly like people were getting into the building pretty fast. We did NOT wait 65 minutes....the wait was actually more like 20 minutes!

Chutes and Ladders was one of my favorite games as a kid!

We did not go over the bridge part of the queue, we actually ended up in the wheelchair loading area...I think they needed a few extra non-disabled riders to fill in the spaces between those who were boarding in wheelchairs. We got on the ride and of course I loved it. I didn't take pictures of our score but I totally OWNED on this ride. HA!

We decided to go and get some breakfast, and we ended up at Starring Rolls. It was REALLY crowded. Once we actually got thru the line, we couldn't find anywhere to sit so we walked across the street to a bench behind a hot rod. Unfortunately, we realized that we were sitting in a smoking area. YUCK. So we went back over to the area with tables and we were lucky enough to happen upon a table. I had a cinnamon roll and we got a butterfinger cupcake!!! YUM!!! We couldn't finish it because it was SO sweet but it was still tasty.

255554_10151157024964191_850859900_n.jpg

After breakfast we went into One Man's Dream, which I had never seen before. I really liked the original Abe Lincoln in there! We also looked at the plan for New Fantasyland.
Then it was time for our TSM fastpasses so we went on that again. We did go over the bridge part of the queue this time.
SELFIE!!
292429_10151157025369191_651936733_n.jpg

Then we went over to the Backlot Tour. My favorite part of this ride is the spaceship from "Flight of the Navigator"...I loved that movie when I was a kid. We figured this was probably our last time ever on this ride since there are rumors it is going to be replaced with WDW's version of Cars Land in the future!
It was getting to be about lunchtime so we went over to Studio Catering Company. I had a wrap, which was pretty tasty. It started to pour, so we were glad to be under a roof! We saw that Mike and Sully were over in the character photo spot, so we took advantage. Unfortunately by the time we got in line, Sully had left. We still love Mike though!

After lunch, Rock'n Rollercoaster was calling our names...
375898_10151157026339191_281005943_n.jpg

We didn't actually end up riding the Tower of Terror since the wait was too long, but since we had been on it the previous week, we didn't feel too bad. We caught another Photopass person....

574519_10151157026799191_864993703_n.jpg

The Photopass guy commented on how authentic our "scared faces" were, since he said most people just stare at him when he asks them to pretend to be scared....we were touched, really...:D

I felt like watching the Pixar Parade, so we found a place to sit and watch.

After the parade we decided to head back to WLV for some swimming. We decided to make ADR's for Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. When we got over there, our table wasn't ready yet so we decided to go into the shop, which I love. I nearly bought this...
