I'm going with Al's. Very Serene. That picture conjurs up so many thoughts...warm beach, sounds of waves crashing on the shore. Yeah, call me crazy :hammer:

Wow, that's anexcellent way to think of it! Except I would change MSU's to "tastefully busy" ;) !

Congrats to all who made it - and also all who didn't!

I voted for Grizz´s. It was very hard to pick one but I liked how he included all what the pavillion is about. :sohappy:

Well, I gotta say, so far things seem to be going as they should here.

The wallpaper that is most appealing to the eye has the lead, with the most creative a close second. Bravo to those that have voted. I agree wholeheartedly!:)

Here's the thing that always gets me about Wallpaper contests, I never know if I should keep in mind they are supposed to be wallpapers! I personally like to just judge them as individual art works instead of how they would look a wallpaper, ya know? I mean, the wallpaper thing can be kinda limited, because you have to keep in mind that there are icons and things on one side of the screen....on the other hand, its kind of a nice challenge to try to make an image that looks appealing as a computer background...ya know, one that doesn't clutter up the screen or make it hard to find stuff...

How do you all judge by? (or suggest we judge by?)

Well, I made mine with the knowledge that it was a wallpaper contest... I took into account the "Start" button toolbar at the bottom as well as the icons on the left hand side of the screen. While they are individual artworks, they are specifically called to act as computer desktop wallpaper... That's what I think... However, true as that might be, they are little pieces of art regardless of any implied usage (like desktop wallpaper)... I leave you with this parting thought:

Judge them as you wish :D

Voting ends tonight! This will be close - and, again, congratulations!

LMAOROFL Blizz! Sorry to be off topic, but your signature is utterly hilarious.

I can add to the Iraqi Information Minister: "We have no plans at this time to revamp EPCOT."

Well, here's my evaluation of the finalist entries. . .first of all, each of them represents different facets of The Living Seas in different ways, and I commend all of the artists! As the first wallpaper contest in which I have participated as an observer and voter, I am truly impressed.

However, the competition seems to be neck-and-neck between Al and GrizzlyHall. Although the simplicity of Al's design is attractive, I believe that Grizzly Hall has done the most exemplary job of comprehensively portraying the various aspects of the pavilion in a very whimsical way. He also appropriately combines the "past" and "future" of the pavilion. . .BRAVO! I look forward to more great artwork in the future!

Allow me to pose a query concerning the third place prize...

Doesn't EVERYBODY, regardless of if they entered this contest at all, recieve one vote in every contest topic poll? :veryconfu :lookaroun
