That last week is just so slow. Watch the weather and finalize what clothes to bring. I love that last week, because I know I am going. Better be pics figgy, and some food reviews with drinks included. We have 103 days left. Where is your pre trip report?
I accidentally posted it in trip planning.o_O I think I was a little over excited:D

Ahhhh! Take a deep breath and get mentally prepared now. Often the day before a trip I feel like the woman on Meet the Robinsons...you know the one with the caffeine patches! At this point I would plan my outfits, charge my camera/ all electronics, and clean as much as possible. There is nothing like coming home to a clean house! First off I don't want to leave and come home but if I have to I want a nicely made bed...and wait where's my house keeping? lol

Clean the house, last-minute packing, get the snack bag together, run errands, watch Disney dvds, recheck that I have everything, check the weather (repeatedly), review my gridsheet and make changes as needed, last bit of laundry and pack what I need from that...recheck my list...try to sleep the night before...end up getting up even earlier than planned ... and leave.

Clean house, do laundry, check and recheck weather to make sure I packed the right clothes, list for in-laws to take care of kitty and plants. I also change sheets like Deb! And fresh towels!
Then I grin like a fool all week and bore all my non-Disney friends talking nothing but Disney!!LOL
Have the bestest vacay ever in the world, my friend!!:) xoxoxo

I have 4 days left! I'm so happy and jumpy at the same time! I really can't contain myself. How do you handle the last week?

3 days for me!!! I'm more nervous this time since I'll be traveling solo. Just general things like "will I get lonely in the parks" and "what if travel plans go awry" but I'm mostly excited to finally do Disney at my own pace.

My last week consists of Santa Clausing or making a list and checking it twice. I am a list maker - good old fashioned pen and paper because it's so satisfying to grab a pen and scribble something off the list. I have my final shopping list (should get that done tomorrow), my 3 packing lists (suitcase, carry-on and camera bag), my final to do list, my "shot list" (no not alcohol, photos I want to make sure to try with some of my new lenses) and my souvenir list (just a few things to look out for for my family and myself)

I'm hoping I can get some sleep on my night before so I have the energy to spend the afternoon and evening in MK. I'll be leaving for the airport at 4:30am on the 6th and arriving in Orlando at 1:10pm, hoping to last until 11:00pm closing time...whew...I hope I can sleep on the plane!!!

So if you see a girl all alone with black hair, wearing a sundress or skirt and t-shirt (I don't do shorts) carrying a crapload of camera gear be sure to give me a wave :D

Jittery... anxious.... don't know what to do with myself, dont give a damn about work, can't focus on anything thats not Disney related, cant eat, sleep, restless, all the classic symptoms of less than 10 days Disneyitis. Wish I could take a pill that would speed up time or make the world spin faster. Cant focus on anything but my park plans and how soon can I get the fun started. Today makes 100 for me and I'm itchy to rip the calendar page off to get to 99. Don't know how many times already I've yelled to my wife... wer'e at 100. She's been there before with me, she knows I'm unbearable from now until we get there.:D Under 100 is wonderful. Happy for you that you are SOOOOO close.

How do I handle the week before Disney? Just take it one day at a time. Never lose sight on what's important for those particular seven days before the trip. Of course, have time to pack, prepare, make necessary arrangements that apply to your household, glance at the weather and whatnot. It's natural to feel excited but if you're too excited, you may end up forgetting what's important besides the trip. I think everyone has pretty much said about general housekeeping so I'm not going to repeat it. I think above all: Get adequate rest. Not too much but not too little.

Well, I've been so many times and I go so often that I don't get quite as jumpy the week before. It's almost like, "Well, here we go again...". Before my Jan 2012 trip I took my driving test for my license. The day before. And passed. :D Jan 2013 we went to see Beauty and the Beast when it came to Baltimore two days before the trip. Jan 2010 I had an awful stomach virus two days before and was (thankfully) coming out of it on the plane while my mother proceeded to get sicker and sicker. She spent the first day in the room unfortunately.

I keep myself busy until the day before the trip and then start to get excited. The day that we leave for the January trip I have been in school for the entire day before heading down. I just about bounced off the walls from excitement in these cases. For the August trip, while I'm excited to go, it also means summer is about to end, and I don't look forward to that. I take life one day at a time, try to slow down or else I'll miss it.
