Now I wasn't sure where to put this, so hang with me on this one...Cast your mind back to your first ever WDW planned vacation..:inlove:..It's all well looking at pictures and noting down rides and attractions that you want to see and do, where and what to eat,etc..Now this is where you've got to think real hard..What was the one jaw dropping experience you had on that very first trip..:jawdrop:..Was it the fireworks.?..Or a ride.?..Maybe the sheer size of Disney.?..Or a sight that will remain with you forever.?..Our first trip in 2004 was 7 nights at the CBR..( 2 centre vacation..1 week on site..1 week off site ) Now although that was only nine years ago,it seems like ages..Anyway, everything we saw was kinda jaw dropping,as we had never visited a place that looked like this magical land...If I had to pick one " Jaw dropping moment " It would have to be seeing Cinderella's Castle for the first time..It was on our second day,and as we turned into Main Street USA..There she stood..In all her splendour..:jawdrop:...So can you remember your first trip and that one moment that blew you away.?..Here's my salute to mine..;)

My first trip was in 2000 with a children's choir I was a part of (the Knoxville Children's Choir). We sang at Magic Music Days at Epcot. (Actually the shirt we got was HUGE and I'm wearing it as my night shirt right now!) Anyway, we sang in Epcot, changed backstage and then went and explored. I remember being in Italy and coming across a living statue and I thought- this is the coolest place ever!:D

That's about all I remember from that trip, but I went away knowing I was in love :p

I did NO planning (at all) for my first trip. The castle literally stopped me dead in my tracks. I didn't even realize it when I stopped. I just stood there on Main Street, impressed and amazed. At some point, I realized I was standing still and started walking again. :)

One of the most memorable moments of my whole life. :)

I had more "happy tear" moments and "smiling ear to ear" moments then I did jaw dropping

I was thinking the same thing. Mine were:
Seeing the Castle of course, but Illuminations made me cry it was so beautiful and moving. As a matter of fact, I just got teary eyed just thinking about it. And another "moment" for me was Rope Drop at MK. I smiled so hard my cheek muscles hurt!

My 1st trip in Aug 2003 we went to the MK in the evening after arriving. After the amazement of the castle, I was shocked at the short lines. We rode the Barnstormer, Pooh, the teacups and a few more. I was totally expecting huge lines after some of the books I read.

DS and I went one night during our trip (DH was pooped and went back to the room) and when we got there the parade was just about over so we followed it up Main Street and while everyone else held their spot around the castle waiting for the fireworks we got on one ride after the other with no waits. We watched some of the fireworks from the Barnstormer. It is one of my most magical memories of the trip and I will plan at least two nights in MK from now on. One night where we sit somewhere and watch the fireworks and one night where we duck behind the crowds during fireworks and go to the rides without having to stand in line.

When I was 13 I went to WDW for the first time with my Mom. I remember being speechless when I first went into MK and down Main Street looking at all the shops and the castle
That first glimpse was seriously one of the most magical moments of my life, and Ive been in love ever since!
The first time I saw Philharmagic has to be a close second too as far as jaw displacement goes but that wasnt during my first planned trip.
