The Imagineering Common Area - A Discussion Thread

As a Mario fan, I can’t wait to see it tomorrow when I have the time (though I’ve heard mixed things)

Really enjoyed the running animation sequences in this, Illumination did a great job! It's worth the watch just for that.

Finally caved in after being intrigued by various clips from scrolling my FYP on TikTok - which has now been deleted off my phone as it can't be accessed on my university's wifi (wild), and saw Steven Universe. I also saw Steven Universe: The Movie and Steven Universe: Future in the span of these last like five or so days. Wow what a fantastic show, lowkey wished I saw this on the air so I could have the buzz and excitement of seeing all of this story unfold in real time. So many times in the show I was caught off guard by the twists and turns the story took while falling in love with all of the characters, music, art style, and just the universe of Steven Universe. Almost tempted to purchase the games on the switch - but they don't like my kind of thing.

We're on the same loop on Tiktok 🤣

Seriously, there's been so many Steven Universe clips on my tiktok, I've been debating on watching the show.

I kinda didn’t expect this now but at the same time I expected this to happen at some point (this attraction is worse than supercharged imo)

As much as I’m genuinely sad to see Poseidon’s Fury go, I really hope it means that they’re going to do something with Lost Continent. It’s needed something for a very long time so I’d be happy with anything, as long as it’s not Potter.

That being said I really hope Mythos stays. It’s probably my favorite restaurant between all of the Florida parks and it’d be a shame for it to also be a casualty.

I would say go for it! Like many animated shows the first season builds the characters up and then onward it tells a story that kept me away from Tiktok and hooked to Steven lol.

Now I’ve been listing to the stellar soundtrack, they got some amazing voice actors who can sing their heart out to these often beautiful melodies.

I guess I’ll experience it one last time next week, cause when I come back to Orlando it will be closed. The question is now how much longer will Lost Continent last? At this point it’s just a food court, halloween outlet store, pearls, and Mythos.

Personally I‘ve always thought that Legend of Zelda could be a good replacement for the Lost Continent, I think I heard something that said that Harry Potter can’t take the entire land over because Steven Spielberg signed a contract that required Jurassic Park to be the biggest land at IOA, and if HP replaced TLC, it would be the biggest land. Mythos should definitely be kept one way or another. Besides being cringey, Poseidon’s Fury sucks because you are standing up during the entire show, and your feet can get really tired after walking around the park, Supercharged at least has seats to sit down on.

How's everyone doing?!
Just celebrated my 22nd birthday with a Breakfast for Dinner Potluck - and a hard no-entry unless you bring something rule. 25 people crammed into a college dorm living room/kitchen with plenty of food, sweets, and drinks mainly nonalcoholic but I whipped up a Screwdriver with OJ, Welch OJ/Pineapple/Apple Cocktail, leftover Mai Tai mix I wanted to toss, and of course vodka (Deep Eddy Orange) - had grenadine on hand to turn it into a basic Sunrise.

Honestly, I think Disneyland should make Aurora, Phillip and the Fairies leading guests through the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough a permanent thing.

EDIT: I thought these were two separate occasions; but it's the same occasion from two different perspectives.

Evil Dead Rise was one of the goriest, most brutal, indulgent, and entertaining horror experiences in a while.

I ADORE the Evil Dead franchise and this is probably on the latter half of my list, but if you’re an evil dead fan at all, you won’t be disappointed. Now to refill popcorn and soda and hit Beau is Afraid
