Trevor, thanks for the feedback. I agree with you that we didn't end up explaining the actual ride vehicle very well, it was just something that didn't cross my mind.

As for the other team's artwork... I propose that at some point we do a short contest for those who are talented in the visual aspect of imagineering. Just to see what some of these folks could do. I wouldn't participate, but I'd love to watch.

I seem to have forgotten to post the new scoring format, so I'll get that over with now. It's really simple (yeah, good joke), the only change we made is that the public vote now counts as half of the score for each team - the judges scores being the other half. So, for example, if a team were to win the majority with the judges and the vote, they would automatically win. But, if the two categories are split, then we'll have to go into percentages. We would take the percentage of the judges scores (say, 3 out of 4 in favor of Team A would be 75%) and then take the percentage out of the public vote (say 12 out of 20 for Team B would be 60%). Team A would have a 75 and a 40 equaling 115, while Team B would have a 25 and a 60 equaling 85. Team A would win.

I hope this isn't too difficult to understand. In essence, since we're taking percentages, one could say that both teams are competing for a total of 200 points.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions, it's a difficult concept to wrap your mind around.

Sounds somewhat simple.

The votes are in!

And after a lot of hard work by both teams, it gives me great honor (Mater isn't home) to announce this project's winner. Drumroll please...

Chip N Dales Imagineering Rangers!

Congratulations to figmntal95, chrononymous, stitchcastle and mewhunter. You are this week's champions! And I hate to end this on a bad note, because it was such a good effort by everyone, but I'm afraid that we do have to eliminate someone. Based on project performance and Project Manager suggestion, CharlieD will be leaving the competition.

Stay tuned, next project should post soon!

While we're waiting for the next round, can I ask a little bit about this new voting process?

It seems to put an awful lot of import on the public vote, I am curious why you felt that to be of equal import as the judges opinions? Also, do you feel there is a potential unfairness in the fact that players can vote for themselves, I know I did. Finally, what did you NOT like about the way you were judging that made this change.

You could of course just tell me to shut it, but I'm curious about it.

I feel the same way, too much power in the public's hands when the public includes the teams themselves. I find it kind of unfair especially considering how completely anonymous it is, who's to say its not one person with different email accounts voting?

We're working on the honors system here. If somebody is willing to make upwards of 21 different email accounts in order to sabotage an internet game on a Disney forum, then by all means - they put in the effort.

The reason that we put more emphasis on the public vote is that we're trying our hardest to make The Imagineer as much fun for as many different people as we can. Not everyone has the time to commit to the game, but they still find plenty of enjoyment in following the progress and giving their opinion.

We're experimenting with different things, that's mostly what this season is about.
