The "I don't have a clever name for my trip report" trip report!

Hi everyone!!
First I have to apologize for my late posting; I wanted to get this bad boy up and running a long time ago but with the school year starting up things have just been bananas. I think we took almost 3,000 pictures on this quick trip, I obviously won’t be posting them all. I am by no means a professional photographer but I think I get some pretty crafty shots every now and then. Anyway, this is our first of two birthday trips this year so …away we go!

Here is a re-cap:

The Who:

The When:

Day 3
August 11, 2012

We slept in a little that morning but we were up, out, and on our way to Epcot for another 1st; lunch at Le Cellier (since i'm a picky pain in the butt it had to be lunch because they don't serve the Cesar salad at dinner).

Picture061.jpg

Picture426_zps90a3c675.jpg

By the time we had walked from the gate to Le Cellier we were DYING; it had to be 120 degrees with the heat index, and it felt awesome to sit down in the AC! We decided on the pre-fix menu for lunch. They brought us our bread first, the sourdough and pretzel bread were out of this world! (Sorry this pics may be kind of dark, but the restaurant is dark!)

Picture428_zps5c2ab2b0.jpg

As an appetizer I had the chipotle chicken and sausage, which was super yummy!

Picture429_zps00ca1997.jpg

Ryan had the soup which he loved, I tasted it and thought it was disgusting LOL but like I said, i'm a pain!

Picture057.jpg

For lunch Ryan had a burger and I had the salad, we each enjoyed our own

Picture058.jpg

Picture430.jpg

Dessert was up next! Ryan got the Moose and I had the most amazing creme brulee

Picture431.jpg

Picture059.jpg

We really enjoyed our experience here and would defiantly recommend it. Unfortunately though, it was time for us to head back into the heat!

Day 3
August 11, 2012 cont..

Pascal continued his world-wide travels in Germany

Picture454.jpg

China

Picture457.jpg

He had tons of fun in Norway hanging out with Trolls and Vikings

Picture458.jpg

Picture459.jpg

Ryan couldn't resist

Picture462.jpg

Pascal finally made his way to Mexico

Picture463.jpg

I noticed this mile marker right outside of the Mexico pavilion, I had never seen one of these before

Picture464.jpg

One more quick shot

Picture465.jpg

After I took this it was right about time for the heavens to open up so we ponchoed up and took off running towards the front gate. We were headed to MK and I was hoping that the rain would stop before it was time for nighttime entertainment. By the time we made it over the store had passed and the humidity died down making for a beautiful night!

Dinner tonight was at one of our favorites

Picture484.jpg

Picture483.jpg

I was hoping that we would be seated outside on the porch but we were not, there was a large family reunion taking up the entire porch space. We were seated by this cute little window though

Picture486.jpg

To start we had the antipasta which we always get

Picture487.jpg

I had the shrimp scampi, it was delish, lots of large fresh shrimp!

Picture488.jpg

Ryan had some portobello pasta, I really don't remember, but I know he ate it all!

Picture139.jpg

When time came for dessert I couldn't wait to have my ice cream bomb only to find out they no longer make them anymore...sad face!

After dinner we walked around and made a few stops, you can see the new fantasy land progress that was going on at the time

Picture113.jpg

Picture109.jpg

There was no wait for Buzz so jumped on quick, as you can see it was an intense game

I absolutely love what you're doing with Pascal. It's inspired me to find a similar idea that I can use without stealing your thunder. LOL!

Pascal brought us endless hours of enjoyment! It was so much fun to have him with us all the time and take his picture everywhere, I highly suggest it, it was so much fun!

Day 4
August 12, 2012

Today was going to be an early day, after all, how else do you get to ride TSMM. We arrived at Hollywood Studios 30 minutes before rope drop. Here we are bright and squirelly

Picture527.jpg

We lined up at the turnstiles with everyone else and about 10 minutes before the park was supposed to open they let us in! We scurried our way over, I kept seeing Ryan get further and further ahead of me, and all of a sudden I found myself on the floor near sound stage 4. The heat and the humidity were just two much for me and down I went. Ryan found me a minute later, with fastpasses in hand LOL . After I grabbed some water we jumped on the line and only waited about 10 minutes to ride.

Picture531.jpg

Once we got off we strolled around for a while before we could use our fastpasses again. RnR didn't have much of a line so we went for a ride, Pascal was excited!

Picture541.jpg

After we went right over to Tower of Terror

Picture542.jpg

Check out Pascal!

Picture543.jpg

Pretty soon we were back in line, yes, Pascal too

Picture545.jpg

I get so competitive on this ride, and this time, I beat Ryan!

Picture550.jpg

I was stoked to have the highest score in the vehicle..yay me!

Picture551.jpg

When we were done we headed over to Mama Melrose, we had an 11:30 lunch reservation. I know people complain about the place, but we love it!

Picture155.jpg

Appetizer was the calamari, we always get it, so yummy! They use these Japanese bread crumbs which are really light!

Picture555.jpg

For lunch we split the Penne Vodka, our waiter thought we were nuts because neither one of us finished a split entree LOL

For years now Ryan has been bugging me about the Lights, Motor, Action show so I finally had to suck it up and go. The first show was starting shortly after lunch so we headed over.

Picture162.jpg

For me the show was alright, I'm a girly girl so the cars are not for me LOL. Ryan loved it thought.

Picture174.jpg

Picture183.jpg

Afterwards we decided to head back to the room, it was so hot an humid out and we just needed a break to rest and clean up for our night. Another first for us was coming up, dinner at 'Ohana!

Day 2
August 10, 2012 cont..

So after spending sometime at the pool we headed back to get ourselves ready. My initial birthday surprise was to do the HoopDeeDoo but my big mouth let the cat out of the bag because I was so excited. I had ready so many great things about the show and I went back and forth wondering if it was going to be cheesy and if either of us would really enjoy it.

We had tickets for the first show so we took the bus to MK where we hoped the ferry. Now, on the dock there were signs telling you go this way for HoopDeeDoo so we loaded onto that boat not realizing what was about to happen. We got on this boat a little after 4:00 and at 5:00 we were out in the middle of the water waiting for other boats to leave the dock. Now the panic started to set in because the tickets state your reservation will be cancelled if you are more than 15 minutes late. The boat ended up stopping at both Ft. Wilderness docks, I was in full blow panic attack mode, by the time we made it to Pioneer Hall at 5:25 they had told us all we missed was the line, the good news was that we had our seats upgraded!

As soon as we were seated the show started and the waitress brought us our salad and cornbread, which was warm and delicious, they also serve your drinks in little mason jars!

Picture316.jpg

Picture309.jpg

The cast was great!

Picture311.jpg

They came out into the crowd to interact with the audience and do some of their numbers. I was worried about how cheesy this may be at first but the show itself is hilarious and filled with a lot of adult humor that was still family friendly!

Every time our waitress came she would slam down the buckets !

Dinner was fried chicken and ribs

Picture313.jpg

Picture315.jpg

Dessert was strawberry short cake

Picture319.jpg

And just as this was put down I felt a tap tap tap on my shoulder only to turn and find one of the male cast members...I was so not ready for what happened next!
I love hoop dee doo, my husband and I ate there last year and loved it! The strawberry shortcake was my favorite! We were "part" of the show twice.

Day 4
August 12, 2012 cont..

So after Lights, Motors, Action! we headed back to the resort to rest for a little and get cleaned up for our dinner at 'Ohana. We took the bus to MK than hoped the resort Monorail, with Pascal of coarse!

Picture559.jpg

We got to, what I thought was the line to check in, and waited

Picture562.jpg

After a while, the line had not moved, a cast member said they would not be taking any more walk-ins for the evening, it was only than I realized I had been waiting on the wrong line. They were unable to seat us during that seating and asked if we would wait. We decided to head over to the Tambu lounge for some drinks before dinner.

I had a bluetini, which was absolutely delish!

Picture563.jpg

Ryan had the Captains Mai Tai

Picture186.jpg

Now, I didn't mention that I am an absolute light weight! I didn't even finish the drink before I was feeling tipsy. By the time the buzzer went off and we were seated I was feeling fantastic LOL. We were seated right by the window which was overlooking the lake. It was beautiful looking out at Cinderella Caste and the Grand Floridian.

One thing I was not ready for was soooooo much food! First they bring you salad which is in a yummy dressing, I don't remember what is was exactly

Picture569.jpg

Next was veggies and noodles, for some reason I don't have a picture of them but they were delicious as well. This was followed by dumplings and sticky wings

Picture571.jpg

Meet was served table side on skewers, I only ate the chicken since I don't eat red meat, it was juicy and tender and oh so good. They also had grilled shrimp which was delish. They also brought bread and sauces for the meats

Picture570.jpg

Dessert was the most delicious thing EVER! Ryan was full at this point but there was no way I was not eating this...

Picture572.jpg

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! After dinner we ordered two more drinks and sat as we watched the entertainment in the restaurant. As we did the little boy from the next table kept coming over to talk to me, asking me all types of questions. His mother kept apologizing to me and trying to get him back into his seat but he just kept coming over, he was so sweet, he asked me if I would watch the fireworks with him haha. The entire 'Ohana experience was just amazing, the atmosphere is great, the food is fantastic and our server was wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about it, now if only I could get a reservation for my November trip!

We finished our drinks and got our leis, the sun had just begun to set so we headed out near sunset point. The sky grew more beautiful by the minute, the views were so breathtaking it was hard not to just stand there and cry!

You can see the Wedding Pavilion in the background

Picture589.jpg

We hung up on Sunset Pointe for a while just taking in how beautiful everything was and what an amazing night we were having. I love these special moments!

Picture592.jpg

After the sun had set we headed back inside and up to the Monorail, we were headed back to MK to spend our last night

Picture602.jpg

We waited to watch The Magic, The Memories, and You for the very last time ever! So glad I got to see the new additions for summer before they got rid of it for good!

Once I have some money saved up I want to buy a good camera and do some reading and research, I love photography and would love to get into it a little more as a hobby. Than I'll be able to get some awesome firework shots!

We headed over to Space Mountain, even Pascal rode with us!

Picture678.jpg

It was extra magic hours on our final night and Ryan still not had his nasty Casey hot dog so at midnight he made me go over there, I can't even stand the smell of that place, its just disgusting LOL Pascal didn't think so though

Picture680.jpg

On our way out I stopped by the Confectionary and got these adorable shots of Huey, Dewey, and Louie!
