Imagineering Question of The Day
This is a rather special question, because this is just Part 1; Part 2 comes tomorrow.
2020 is Universal Orlando Resort's 30th anniversary; and Islands of Adventure's 21th anniversary. It is also Marvel's last year on Universal Resorts; being that Disney has the rights to Marvel. What would you consider to be the best replacement theme for Marvel Superhero Island?

Also my understanding of the Uni/Disney Contract is that Uni has Marvel rights in perpetuity i.e unless Disney offers to pay for Marvel rights from the parks or Uni gives up Marvel on their own free will than they can use Marvel. I have never heard of the 2020 cut off date and it doesn't much the principle of the cost of rebuilding a rollercoaster and spending as much as they have to up the theming of that same coaster if they were going to loose it in 4 years.

I just found and read the contract and what I said is true, there is not end date for the Uni/Marvel Contract though their are stipulations. Uni can not create a new Marvel Attraction with out Marvels approval, in which Marvel has to show evidence that the Uni Attraction may tarnish the Marvel name or not due justice to the character. So for now, Marvel is not going anywhere from Uni unless they decide it's not worth paying Disney for the rights anymore.

Mostly just Guardians because I believe the Universal deal is still in play
Your correct Marvel is still in play. See above.

Side note, the ambiguity of the Marvel contract is strange. Most of the wording states that there should not be a MARVEL attraction within 60 miles of UNI. So a full marvel attraction may be out of the picture, Disney has been making subtle Marvel moves seeming trying the legal water of what they can and can't do. IE does a meet and greet count as an Attraction, adding GotG to the end of the Great Movie Ride is okay because that's not a Marvel Attraction..

It's like the hulk in the thor movie.

Making a hulk solo film is a no go because the rights will go to uni...but adding hulk in another movie is fine.

It's bizarre.

So, here's your interesting fact fo the day. Remember when the lot of you asked @nelsonj3 to be a guest judge for a bit? Well, I bet you didn't know that he taught your's truly how to play the trumpet when I was but a lad of twelve.

The more you know!
Wow!

He was very nice and approachable when I was chatting with him. And we watch his YouTube channel ResortTV1 all the time. Looking forward to him guest-judging soon as he said he'll be available more in June!

While my idea for a new area in AK is not done yet. I posted the idea on The House Cup thread but isn't finalized yet. I contacted @MonorailRed for some help and sorting things out including how the place would look and some attractions for all ages. The title is still a work in progress but I'm sure with MonorailRed's help things might sound great. I will give you guys updates about this depending on how look it takes. I also contacted him for some help on my Hollywood Studios Night Club idea. I'm sure he won't mind.

Imagineering question of the day
Disney is finally listening to the complaints that people have about the WDW transportation systems(boats, taxis, and of course; monorails. How would you improve on those to make a better WDW? (That includes you @IAmNotAHufflepuff)
More buses...larger buses that hold more people.

More boats for the Seven Seas Lagoon Resorts....taking a boat from WL to MK can take forever at times.

I don't think they will ever expand the monorail, but if they did I would send it to Animal Kingdom. Build a second TTC in the middle of the Epcot line and create a spur that transfers you over to AK.

I'd also connect DAKL with Animal Kingdom, though we had a challenge on that in House Cup:bookworm:

Imagineer Question of The Day Pt. 2
Now that Marvel is going to be featured in WDW more often, what would you make for Hollywood Studios Marvel land?
I would make a Marvel land called Marvel City, home to Avengers Academy; where you can test your strengths as a superhero, Flight of Iron Man ; which is similar to Manta at Sea World, and The Avengers: Ultimate Showdown; which is Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey and Ninjago: The Rides' ride systems in a blender.
