The Greatest Disney World Ride of All Time

Splash Mountain is #1 for me, it's just so beautifully executed.

My most missed is definitely Mr. Toad's Wild Ride for purely nostalgic reasons... as a kid that was always the first one I wanted to do when I got in the park, mainly because I thought it was cool to "drive the car". The image of driving straight for that locomotive and then ending up in "hell" was forever burned into my young brain.

i will say, as much as I loved it as a kid, I've made peace with the fact that MTWR is gone. In retrospect it was a little bit amateurishly constructed compared to the best rides in the park. Don't get me wrong, I think its better than Pooh, but I see why it may have been seen as expendable.

Now, as someone whose never ridden Splash Mountain, all of teh mentions on here makes me wanrt to ride it more!

Which do you think Walt would pick?

Conventional wisdom is that he would pick the Disneyland Railroad (because of his love of trains). But I actually think that if he could pick any current Disney attraction (any park) as a favorite, it would likely be the American Adventure. The man was fiercely patriotic, he loved American history and he chose Lincoln for his first human sized AA. The show building is a palace, the live singing in the pre-show is wonderful, and music (particular Golden Dreams) is on par with Disney's best.

Wow there are several.

1. Haunted Mansion. Loaded with old and new effects. Nostalgic. I wish hat had left the portait hall intact instead of what it is now. But it is still number one.
2. POTC. The music still gets into your head time and time again. I like the new additions, but prefer the classic ride with the squalking parrot outside.
3. IASW, classic from a worlds fair in the 60's. A truly peaceful ride.Shame the real world is not like it.
4. World of motion. Just loved it.
5. Horizons. It was great but dated by the time it was closed down.
6. The original Backlot tour at MGM studios. The one with the tram ride through the backlot with houses

I feel like When I used to go as a child I loved this ride and I have the best memories on it! I remember my mom bought me "meeko" from Pocahontas and I used to tell him the pirates were nice so he wasn't scared ha ha !

I do need to include Splash Mountain. It is a brilliant ride

I have to second this ^^^

It is filled with highs and lulls...action and a story. Indoors and outdoors. Great queue and classic animatronic technology that is not exactly refined but that is the lure of it for me. Excellent story in which themeing is not broken anywhere from the time you enter the queue until you exit the ride you are enveloped within the story and it is a joy to the senses start to finish.
