The Great Stroller Debate

Going in Sept with our 53 lb. 5 yr old son, and 3 yr old daughter(not sure of her weight). I will most definitely buy at least 1 nice umbrella stroller, she'll use it. He is questionable. Mid day he'll start getting tired, so I assume we'll go back to our room.

I thought about just renting one for him, but those of you who have traveled with similar aged children, what do you recommend?

The new ones look not only thinner but much shorter in length as well. Perhaps its just the view from the photo, but the base of the stroller from the side view doesn't look that long.

So glad to see this thread has not turned into a fight.
Just wanted to add that you can push your stroller on to the monrail and the boats. We do it all of the time, but do not go in peak season.
We are headeding down in May with at just turned 5, 4 and 10 month old. We are taking a double and bijorn so if the big kids are tired than we can bijorn the baby and push the older two.
Have a great trip.

Why don't you check out the following company http://www.orlandostrollerrentals.com/ It will allow you to rent a stroller for the length of your stay, without having to a) lug your own for the 5 year old and b) pay the high stroller rental rates at the parks.

I'm wondering if anyone has used this company and/or has feedback on the strollers they rent out (Baby Jogger City Mini Single)? We're making a trip in September and considering this option for our baby, who will be 6 months when we visit. We have a nice stroller, but it's pretty bulky, so I'm not crazy about the idea of taking it on the plane or managing it on the bus rides. On the other hand, I really want to have a stroller for the resort, bus stops, etc....done that with a little one before and swore never again! Or would we be better off buying an umbrella stroller at the resort?

Thanks in advance!!!

They are smaller. I've been to the park with a normal 5 year old (maybe a little tall), but he struggled to fit into a double length wise and couldn't buckle the belt either like he could in the old doubles.
