The Future of WDW

Where do you think the future of WDW lies? I mean, we hear now and again of new attractions being made, some as replacements for older ones, but by and large we're not really given a sense of what to expect in its future. Is there going to be much more expansion, a significant updating or change to one or more of the theme parks, or what? Or, do you suppose things will just stay status quo with a few new attractions added every couple years or so?

I bet we will see a few more All Star resorts popping up. More resorts, probably. Additions to theme parks, I have no idea! With the way things have been going recently, it is hard to actually believe Disney will come out with a "non-Dumbo" e-ticket ride. But when they eventually get around to it........

No theme parks, probably. I would like to think they are planning more creative, new places for guests to visit outside of the parks. Non-theme park areas, like Boardwalk, WWoS, Downtown Disney. Mabey a new Disney Institute?

Mabey an update to River Country, and mabey Fort Wilderness.

River Country will never reopen as a Water Park. It is currently being refurbished to become a pool are for Fort Wilderness Guests. They are removing the high maintenance attractions, like slide, and will leave most of the Water Hole as a new pool sometime soon in the future. They are planning a third water park, however.

I dont see how Disney can add more hotels/resort areas. Yep, it brings in the guests who bring in the money BUT where are the people going to go each day - the parks are getting pretty busy now at their peak times. Thats going to leave alot of people spending each and every day waiting in lines.

My view - spend money on the existing parks now, then expand them and finally add the accomodation.

I agree that they will add some "non-theme park" areas (maybe another addition to Downtown, along with another area near the Magic Kingdom. No new hotels yet (this is pretty clear being that they stopped construction on POP for a while) More E-tickets...BIG E-tickets (at least 2 in Epcot (not including Space), 3 in AK, 1 in MK, and 1 in MGM) within the next 7-8 years.

I assume that MK will expand Toontown a little further back over the railroad tracks. Adventureland will get a "freshened" look. Liberty Square will go under a major rehab...although, just new paint and "cleaning up"

Epcot has the $300,000,000 for it's rehab now...I'm sure that (with the exception of AK) the other parks will get the same.

I agree with Captain Hook on the accommodations...these will be put on hold until the current parks can handle the traffic flow of MORE people. (I believe there is a limit of the amount of people that they can let into each park (I believe the MK is 100,000 but I'm not positive). The parks need to expand so that they can handle more people.
