I would like to see something tasteful done to the animation studio. Some mentioned a Pixar facility or ride. Perfect! Stargate would be nice too. Or maybe yet, give the animators their jobs back and let us admire what they do. Animation is where it's at. I believe that without Aladdin, B&B, Mermaid, and Lion King, Disney would not have been quite as profitable.

God no. Armageddon blew as a movie and I don't think Stargate is popular enough to warrent an attraction. I'm also not particularly excited by Universal Studio's The Mummy coaster because of its source material, though I'm sure the ride itself will be cool.

Bond...James Bond?

How about an attraction based on the James Bond franchise, a MGM Studios tentpole? Could replace the Animation tour as a movie special effects tour, in the same building, with a "Best of James Bond" stunts movie where the Robin Williams movie currently resides. Behind the glass wall where the animators worked could be Q-Branch, with a CM representing Q demonstrating the use of some of the most popular Q-Branch inventions. Perhaps a walk thru Scaramanga's funhouse as part of the tour? Could be cool...

I would love a James Bond dark ride, autopia ride (Bond is all about the cars), or even a stunt show to replace Indy.
But does anyone think Bond might be a little too sexy and violent for the majority of Disney visitors?
A roaring twenties themed Main Street was cancelled for Disneyland Paris because it was deemed to "racy" for Disney.

Granted, you would have to tone down the ______ and violence. If Disney MGM could tone down Aerosmith, Raiders' Nazis and the Alien, I think Bond is do-able!

The autopia idea is cool, but what if they bumped that up a notch...Autopia dark ride combined with Countdown to Extinction/Test Track motion technology! You could have a classic James Bond car chase (tilt the vehicle over onto two tires, peel out,...) complete with audio animatronic Bond Villians (OddJob, Jaws, Bolfeld).

Being an armchair Imagineer is fun!:lol:

i was wondering...... i mean Disneyland has the rodger rabbit ride, wouldnt this work well in disney mgm studios? it is a movie and would seem 2 fit in imo, plus its a dark ride

Don't get me wrong, i love MGM a lot, but i think it needs a lot of improvments. They should have more thirll rides for one. They should replace the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular into the Indy Adventure that they have at DL, because the Motor Show will open next year, so there will still be a stunt show. They should also replace Sounds Dangerous with somthing else. Star Tours is getting a little old, maybe it should be improved a little, but if not it is still good. I think MGM has A LOT of potential in being even greater than it already is now.

James Bond, like you all said, would be so AWSOME!! That would be so neat!! It is perfect too, because both older people and younger people like Bond. That would make MGM a lot better.

I love MGM but it does have room for some improvement.Put more movie type rides or attractions in what it has now makes it boring.The only rides/attractions any good rght now is Muppets 3D & Star Tours(which needs to be updated) since the Animation will be closed.
