Pre-Trip The Food & Wine & Wine & Food Trip Sept 2016

Hello all!

Just booked our trip for September 2016! We are so excited (even though we literally just got back from Disney 2 weeks ago!)

We are using this trip as a "redo honeymoon". My husbands grandfather passed away while we were on our honeymoon in February, so we didn't get to do too much honeymoon celebrating :(

Please take a look at my itinerary and let me know your thoughts! We go to Disney all the time (AP) but we want this to be special & "honeymoonish" so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

WHEN:
September 21st-25th

WHERE:
The Boardwalk!!

ITINERARY:

Wednesday, September 21st:
  • Leave at 6am from Southwest Florida, arrive around 9am
  • Drop luggage off at Boardwalk and walk over to Epcot
  • Food & Wine festival all day, hopefully get on Frozen & Soarin

Thanks for reading!

The Boardwalk is very beautiful! They have so many neat sitting areas throughout the resort. My husband and I spend a day in the Disney area awhile ago and wanted to see the activities on the Boardwalk (along with a few other places). I love this picture from that day. Were not the biggest people but this couch made my husband look like he was in Alice and Wonderland. :D

Love that picture!!! He looks so small compared to the couch haha!

We are looking forward to staying there, my husband is not too thrilled because it reminds him of the Jersey Shore too much (he went too much when he was younger) so I'm hoping it doesn't have too much of that kind of feel

Congrats on your trip! Have fun!

I've lived in New Jersey my whole life and so I've been down the shore more times than I can count. IMO, Boardwalk is a reflection of turn-of-the-century Atlantic City and really doesn't feel like the current Jersey shore at all. I mean, there's a boardwalk and some food stands and a few games...and that's it, the only similarities. It's like the idyllic Jersey shore that never was. I personally don't think it had too much of a shore vibe, but that's just me. Hopefully you and your husband agree!

I agree completely! I think he was just worried it would feel like all his time at the real Boardwalk instead of Disney haha!

We are trying to stay at all the Disney resorts at least once so we have to stay here one way or another! :)
