For me it was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Rode it in 1971 and loved it every year till they removed it in the early 90s. Just wish I could have taken my son on it. He was born in 1992 :( .

First time we came to WDW was August 1998 and the first ever ride we went on was Space Mountain. We thought it was really tame and a huge disappointment and have never been on it since.

Yes as far as coasters go it is pretty tame, but fun. However, it's gotten so rough (or I am just getting old) I can no longer ride it.

I don't remember what my first Disney ride was--my parents took me way back to DL in 1977 when I was 6-weeks old. They told me that back then they would ride SM and the CM would hold me while they rode (, what a different time, eh)? But I do remember riding Pirates when I was 3 and being terrified of the "big drop."

The first ride I remember riding at WDW that I was "impressed" riding was SE--I didn't realize what a cool ride was in the giant "golf ball." One of my must-do's to this day!

I was only a kid, but I am almost positive it was The Jungle Cruise. We went into WDW, and headed left, to Adventure Land. I am almost positive of it. I was terrified of that ride as a kid, as I was of most rides/attractions (I was a scaredy cat), and I hid a lot from looking in the dark areas but I liked the elephant pool. I was definitely impressed and the JC is not even that great.

My first ride was Disneyland’s Storybook Land boat ride. I remember imagining the characters in each of the little houses! I was so young and mesmorized by everything in the parks!
Still mesmorized after all these years and I still find myself thinking wow Madame Leota is talking in the Haunted Mansion right now or the Pirates are whistling to the dog to at this very second Etc,etc...

For me Disney is not just a place, a movie or song it is a state of mind ... It is my fountain of youth and I hope to never lose this feeling.
I understand the need for growth and change I just hope they hang on to the nostalgia.
Walt once said “I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible, because dreams offer too little collateral! “
The financiers clearly underestimated the power of the dreamers!

I don’t remember my first ride. I was 5, but 2 years ago we took our girls for the first time and our first ride was PoTC and my 5 year old loved it and 3 year old was terrified.

OK this has probably been done already but I wanted to elaborate. What was the first ride/attraction you ever went on/too and were you impressed, unimpressed, is it still there, do you still like it.....just elaborate.

I will start; Mine was Spaceship Earth. We didn't have a clue as to what we were doing (1996). Walked into EPCOT and of course (like a rookie) immediately got on this ride. Being an engineer and an artist I was so impressed. They had me at Hello so to speak. It was may favorite for quite a while. Now, however, I lean more toward Soarin.

I remember so distinctly the Eastern Airlines ride...it was a lot like Soarin’ and I thought it was so cool.

Mine was Spaceship Earth too. I had no knowledge of Disney or any of the parks at that time, so I was pretty blown away by this iconic symbol actually housing a ride. I enjoyed it, but I think my younger self was a little disappointed that it wasn't a thrill ride.

In retrospect, I am happy that it was my first ride. It set me up to appreciate the "stop and smell the flowers" rides.

Not sure what my first Disney attraction was since my first visit to Disneyland was when I was about 2-years old (I grew up in LA and my family lived at DL). I think my mom has said she thinks it was either the DL Railroad or Pirates though.

My first WDW attraction is a strange one. lol Aug '89, I was 10-years-old. My family were on our very first visit to WDW and had left the Poly to go to the MK. I remember it was cloudy and there was some lightning. I think normally we would have followed our tradition we did at DL by going on Pirates first. But since we had been traveling all day long and were hungry, mind you there were three kids, ages 8, 10 and 15 - and we were famished! So we ate dinner at the Village Haus and immediately went on It's a Small World for our very first WDW attraction.
