Hey everyone! I'm sure y'all know about this site, but if not, check out www.waltopia.com

I found it while looking for The EPCOT Film. I heard about it a while back and finally found it there...weird what Walt had planned for Epcot.

I've known about it for some time - still, it is a great film. I can just imagine how life would be if EPCOT had become a reality.

I think Walt had some good ideas, though by today's standards they might seem a bit far-fetched. Certainly a Utopian view (or like one anyhow), though I think Celebration is a failed attempt.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing that video! I've never seen such a detailed look at what Epcot was designed to be. Its fascinating! I can just imagine the Epcot that might have been. I wonder if it would have worked... Great things to think about, thanks again!

Yeah, I've watched that a couple of times too, its a good site. I think that if anyone could have pulled that off, Walt could have. I think that it could still happen with the right people working on it. It would be exciting to see something like that happen.

epcot is by far my favorite park and when you think about it, there is no limit to what could be done, i think aside from the admission price walt would be happy about what is happening.

Just went thought the transcript section of the move and it had pictures, and one of the concepts has a very similar feeling to the new buildings that are going to replace the World trade center, Just an observation that I seen, maybe the designer is a Disney fan.:lookaroun

They were far fetched in the 60s as well, but then again so was Disneyland, Snow White and a lot of the other ideas Walt had. This was certainly the most ambitious, but I truely believe he could have done it.

Is Celebration a failure? To be honest, I don't know how Celebration has done. Did they sell all of there houses? Do people not like living there?

WOW! That is absolutely FANTASTIC! What a great movie! Really makes you think, too. What would have happened had EPCOT been built in the state it was described as in that movie... That's great. :) :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

OMG! I thought the same thing! The EPCOT hotel looks just like the proposed plan for the WTC in NYC. Makes you think...:)
